Educator, Researcher, Lighting & Acoustic Consult, and Professional Interior Designer having applied projects designing, supervision, and consultancy. As an educator, fascinated by her profession, she spends her favorite time in the studio with future designers. As a researcher, she publishes yearly book chapters, articles, and papers in conference proceedings that reached, in February 2020, 2000 reads and downloads. As an academic, she developed a number of reports related to the interior design department improvement, accreditation, and assessment processes. Meanwhile, Dr. Naglaa creates, establishes, and updated some courses - including the launch of the course learning outcomes for all courses - at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. For career development, she attended the workshops held at Ajman University, and online courses, that deal with different professional and specialized aspects. Head and member of many committees; Curricula and Study Plan Committee, Department Timetable, Courses Syllabus Updating, Library' Book Selection, Accreditation, Master Degree, QS, and Assessment. Recently as the head of the department, she establishes the Lighting and Acoustical Lab for interior applications and experimentations. She was selected to be APID's Ambassador - May 2018 -(Association of Professional Interior Designers the only professional association in the MENA region) for the preparation of the biannual IFI Congress Dubai 2020 hosted by APID. Dr. Naglaa is setting the requirements for the International Accreditation for the Interior Design Program - CIDA as well as the First Master's Degree in Interior Design. Being a member of a number of professional institutions and journals editing board, she serves in evaluating, peer reviewing, and judging in specialized competitions.
