ilahiyatname

İlahiyatname is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed, international academic journal published within Bartın University, aiming to publish high-quality scholarly studies in the field of theology and to contribute to the dissemination of academic knowledge.

İlahiyatname provides a platform for different types of academic works produced in accordance with the publication principles it has adopted and declared. In this context, research articles, case reports, reviews, translations, critical editions (textual criticism), and book reviews are considered for evaluation.

The journal publishes scholarly studies prepared in the fields of Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Studies, and Islamic History and Arts. The publication languages of the journal are Turkish, English, and Arabic.

İlahiyatname is published electronically twice a year, in June and December. The manuscript evaluation process takes approximately four months. The journal management reserves the right to determine and plan the issue in which accepted works will be published.

The journal applies a double-blind peer-review system. Under this system, the identities of the authors are not disclosed to the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors. Works submitted to the journal for evaluation must not have been previously published elsewhere and must not be under simultaneous consideration by another journal.

The publication processes of İlahiyatname are conducted in accordance with the principles of scientific research and publication ethics, academic integrity, impartiality, transparency, editorial independence, open access, and the free circulation of scholarly knowledge.

The scientific, ethical, legal, and linguistic responsibility for works published in the journal rests with the authors.

İlahiyatname adopts an open-access publishing model. All works published in the journal are accessible to readers from the moment of publication without any access fee, subscription requirement, registration requirement, or embargo period.

İlahiyatname is indexed in EBSCO Central & Eastern European Academic Source (CEEAS), EBSCO Academic Search Ultimate, ERIH PLUS, DOAJ, and EBSCO Türkiye Studies Source.

Publication History of the Journal

The journal began publication within Bartın University in 2014 under the title “Bartın Üniversitesi İslami İlimler Fakültesi Dergisi” and has continued its publication life under the title “İlahiyatname” since Issue 24, published in December 2025.
