Gazi Journal of Economics and Business is regularly published since 2015 by Gazi Academic Publishing. Gazi Academic Publishing is a platform to promote the researches of scholars which enhance the literature. With the printing and publishing experience of Gazi Bookstore since 1984, Gazi Academic Publishing aims to gather scholars and their qualified research studies of the universities. For that purpose, Gazi Bookstore publishes three peer reviewed international journals in the fields of Engineering, Economics & Business and Education since 2015. Being the General Coordinator of the journals, Prof. Dr. Aydın Karapınar also took on the task of publication of the journals in 2017. Since then, Gazi Journal of Economics and Business is being published by Gazi Academic Publishing. Aftermath of the first issue of the journal in June 2015, both printed and online version of the journal was published with ISSN 2149-4924 with no delay and interruption in February, June and October. Since June 2017, Gazi Journal of Economics and Business is an open access, peer reviewed journal and is published online regularly with ISSN 2548-0162.

Firstly, the journal used to publish in the fields of economics and administrative sciences, especially in Business, Economics, Finance, Econometrics, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Political Science and Public Administration, International Relations, Health Management and International Trade. As of 21.06.2021, the fields were narrowed and currently only manuscripts in the field of Economics and Business are accepted for review.
