Prof. Dr. Bülent VEREP, who is working in the Department of Basic Sciences, Marine Biology, Faculty of Fisheries, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, was born in Trabzon in 1971, graduated from Trabzon High School in 1987, and graduated from KTÜ Sürmene Faculty of Marine Sciences, Fisheries Technology Engineering Program in 1992, and received the title of engineer. In 1995, he completed his postgraduate studies titled "Environmental Forces Affecting Sea Cages" and became a Fisheries Engineer. Afterwards, he completed his doctorate studies in 1999 with his study titled "A Study on the Evaluation of the Hydrographic Characteristics of Uzungöl in Terms of Fisheries and Recreation" and became a Fisheries Doctor. In 2007, he passed the Associate Professorship exams held by the Interuniversity Board and received the title of Associate Professor.
Prof. Dr. Bülent VEREP has generally continued his academic activities in the fields of Marine and Inland Water Biology, water quality and pollution, environmental problems affecting aquatic ecosystems and aquatic toxicology. He has taken part in scientific research and social projects at national and international levels as an executive and researcher.

I am an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Fisheries, Department of Fishing Tecnology Recep Tayyip Erdogan University in TURKEY. I have extensive field and laboratory experience (more than 25 years) in feeding eco-physiology of fish and jellyfish (especially exotic species), fisheries biology . Particular expertise on macrozooplankton feeding physiology experiments and gastric emptying time and rate as well as feeding ecology in fishes.
