The aim of the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Research is to publish national and international academic studies in the light of science, which provide academic contributions to professionals working in the field of tourism in the Turkic World, offer concrete suggestions to the sector in the field of practice, and act as a bridge between theory and practice.
The scope of the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Research includes tourism management, tourism guidance, travel management, gastronomy and culinary arts, and recreation management research.
- The journal is an international peer-reviewed publication of Kastamonu University with scientific content and is published twice a year (June and December of 2022) every 6 months. The journal includes research in the field of Tourism.
- The works to be published in the journal must not have been published in any scientific journal. Only papers presented at scientific congresses/symposiums/conferences, etc., that are not copyrighted can be presented, provided they are specified.
- The writing language of the articles to be published in the journal should be Turkish, German, Azerbaijani, Turkmen, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, and English.
- Manuscripts should be written on A4 size (210 x 297 mm) paper, with 3 cm margins on all sides and justified, and should be 10,000 words and 20 pages, including references.
- Articles submitted to the journal should be written using the Microsoft Word program in Palatino Linotype. The article's title in the native language should be in 14-point font, and the title in the alternative Abstract should be in 12-point font. Titles such as Introduction, Literature Review, etc., should be written in 12 pt., and the text content should be written in 11 pt and single-spaced. Only the Abstract and References should be in 10-point font and single-spaced.
- A period (.) should be used to separate the decimal part of numerical values in the article.
- Titles (in the center of the page) should be written in lowercase and bold, with the first letters capitalized. Author(s) names should be written in lower case and surnames in upper case (in the center of the page). The institution(s) of the Author (s) should be written in lowercase with the first letters capitalized and written. All main section headings should be capitalized, and all secondary sub-headings should be written in bold with only the first letter of the first word capitalized. None of the headings should be numbered.
- Articles to be submitted to the journal:
Main Title; Abstract; Keywords; English Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Literature review; Methods; Results and Discussion (or Results); Conclusion (or Discussion and Conclusion); References.
Author information Name and Surname of the Author(s); Institution of the Author(s) (responsible Author should be indicated and e-mail address should be given); ORCID numbers of the Author (s) should be uploaded to the system as a separate file.
- Abstract and Abstract should not be written in at most 600 words and not less than 150 words; keywords related to the text should be at most six (6). Abstract and Abstract should be single-column and justified. Studies in a foreign language should have a Turkish title and Abstract. The paragraphs that make up the abstract section;

Discussion:....................... titles should be written in bold and with a colon, followed by a brief description. The abstract section should contain a maximum of 300 words.
- In writing the articles' titles, it should be ensured that there is a space after the end of the previous section and that there is no space between the section following the title. Headings and paragraphs should start 0.5 cm inside. There should be no space between paragraphs.
- The article's graphics, pictures, maps, and photographs should be named "Figure." Tables of numerical data should be named "Table." Figures and Tables should be numbered consecutively in the text. Figure captions should be at the bottom, and Table captions should be at the top, starting from the beginning of the paragraph. Moreover, only the first letter of the first word should be capitalized; the others should be lowercase, a space should be left between the upper and lower sections, and a full stop should not be placed at the end. Figures and Tables should be centered on the page if they do not fit in a single column. Explanations of abbreviations in tables or figures should be written in the title of the table or figure.
Introduction
The basis of the article topic, summary information about the parts of the study, its equivalent in the scientific literature, the importance of the research, the research problem, and objectives should be detailed in the introduction.
Methodology
The method section should detail the type of research, research group, data collection tools, validity and reliability, data collection techniques, data analysis, and limitations.
Findings
The findings obtained in the research should be explained with relevant tables, figures, graphs, or pictures in a way that supports the purpose and problem of the study and maintains integrity.
Discussion, Conclusion, and Recommendations
In light of the importance of the research, the findings obtained should be discussed with the literature and author comments. In the conclusion, the main ideas that emerged in the light of the discussions should be explained. The discussion and conclusion of the study should make recommendations.
Citing references in the text:
Citations should be in APA style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy, and consistency. This is very important in the electronic environment because it allows readers to take advantage of the Reference Linking process in the database and return to the works cited with CrossRef. In-text citations and references should be given in the language of the full text. When citing references in the text, the (Author's Surname, Year of Publication) method will be used for indirect citations, and the (Author's Surname, Year of Publication, p. No.) method will be used for direct citations.
Quotations made without changing the essence (indirect quotations) are given in the author's own words as a summary or comment without quotation marks.
In in-text citations, the conjunction "and" should be used instead of the "&" sign.

If an author's statement is quoted verbatim (direct quotation), the quoted parts/words should be enclosed in quotation marks, and the page number should be indicated.

Organizing the Bibliography List:
The bibliography list should be organized in alphabetical order.
References by the same author should be given in date order (from old to new). If the referenced author has more than one publication of the same date, it should be indicated as (a, b) next to the year of publication according to the order in which the source is referenced in the text.

There is cooperation between DergiPark and intihal.net. In this context, the articles submitted to our journal will be scanned by the service intihal.net. Authors will be informed at the submission steps, a similarity report will be prepared at the file upload step, and the author will be notified of the result by e-mail. When the result of the report is announced, the author will be able to complete the submission process.
The publication processes applied in the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Research aim to contribute to the development of academic publishing in an impartial and reputable manner. The processes applied in this direction are directly reflected in the quality of the authors' work and the institutions supporting the authors. Peer-reviewed studies are studies that embody and support the scientific method. Authors, readers, researchers, referees, and editors must comply with ethical principles in publication processes. All stakeholders are expected to carry ethical responsibilities within the scope of the publication ethics of the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Research.
The principles published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) are adopted as open access for ethical duties and responsibilities in the International Journal of Turkish World Tourism Research.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Author(s) submitting articles to the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Research are expected to comply with the following ethical responsibilities:
- The work submitted by the author(s) is expected to be original.
- If the author(s) utilize other works or use other works, they must cite and quote them entirely and accurately.
- Individuals who did not contribute intellectually to the content of the study should not be listed as authors.
- All manuscripts submitted for publication must disclose any conflicts of interest and relationships.
- The author(s) may be requested to provide raw data on their manuscripts as part of the review process, in which case the author(s) should be prepared to provide the expected data and information to the editorial board.
- The author(s) should have a document showing that they have the rights to use the data used, the necessary permissions related to the research/analyses, or that the consent of the experiment subjects has been obtained.
- If the author(s) becomes aware of an inaccuracy or error in the published, early view, or under review manuscript, the author(s) must notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to correct or withdraw the manuscript.
- Authors cannot have their work in the submission process of more than one journal simultaneously. Each submission can be initiated following the completion of the previous submission. The work published in another journal cannot be submitted to the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Research.
- It cannot be proposed to change the author responsibilities (such as adding an author, changing the author order, removing an author, etc.) of a study whose evaluation process has started.
Ethical Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
The editors and field editors of the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Research should have the following ethical duties and responsibilities based on the "COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" and "COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as open access:
General Duties and Responsibilities
The editors are responsible for every publication published in the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Research. Editors have the following roles and obligations as a part of this responsibility.
- Strive to meet the information needs of readers and writers,
- Ensuring the continuous development of the journal,
- Carrying out processes to improve the quality of studies published in the journal,
- Supporting freedom of thought,
- Ensuring academic integrity,
- Maintaining business processes without compromising intellectual property rights and ethical standards,
- Demonstrating openness and transparency regarding publication in matters requiring correction and clarification.
Relations with the Reader
Editors should consider the expectations of knowledge, skills, and experience that all readers, researchers, and practitioners need. They should pay attention to the contribution of the published studies to the readers, researchers, practitioners, and scientific literature and ensure that they are original. In addition, editors must consider feedback from readers, researchers, and practitioners and provide explanatory and informative feedback.
Relations with Authors
The duties and responsibilities of editors towards authors are as follows:
- Editors should make a positive or negative decision based on the importance, original value, validity, clarity of expression, and the aims and objectives of the journal.
- Unless the manuscript has a serious problem, it should be included in the preliminary evaluation stage.
- Editors should only ignore positive referee recommendations if there is a serious problem with the study.
- New editors should only change the decisions made by the previous editor(s) if there is a serious problem.
- The "Blind Review and Evaluation Process" should be published, and editors should prevent deviations in the defined processes.
