1. THE IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THE AUTHORS
• All the refereeing and publishing processes of the journal are carried out online through the DERGIPARK system. https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/mbud
• The authors who want to send publications to the journal should first enter the website of our journal and sign in.
• No application or publishing fee is required.
• The JASA is an international and peer-reviewed e-journal published online with open access, in which original research and review articles in basic and applied sciences are published. Original Research Articles are given priority. Review Articles are accepted in small numbers.
• Original research articles and review articles may be related to spatial planning and design, conservation, repair, management, and economic, etc. dimensions covering all disciplines such as Architecture, Landscape Architecture, City and Regional Planning, Interior Architecture, Industrial Product Design, Civil Engineering, are published in the Journal of Architectural Sciences and Applications. In addition, the study subjects of Forest Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Biology, Geography, Mining Engineering, Sociology, Archeology, etc., which may be related to the subjects of Architectural Sciences, are published in the journal. In addition, technical notes, letters to the editor, discussions, case reports, competition criteria, etc. are published.
• Manuscripts in English languages are welcome.
• The journal is published in two issues annually (July and December).
• A blind Review Evaluation (at least two reviewers) is made for each article in the journal.
• If the Editorial Board deems it appropriate, symposiums, congresses, workshops, and special themed topics, etc. A Special Issue can be published once a year. The same research article publication processes and policies are applied to articles on Special Issues. All articles in the journal are double-blind peer-reviewed by a distinguished international Editorial Advisory Board and other experts in the field.
• A “DOI number” is assigned for each article published in the journal.
• After logging into the system, the articles should be uploaded to the system as a Word file ".doc" or “.docs” according to the "JASA Article Template”. However, should be uploaded "JASA Copyright Transfer, Author Contribution and Conflict of Interest Declaration Form" and “ JASA Article Pre- Checklist form” with a wet signature?
• English Article Legal Control Report” should be upoaded to systems.
• The acceptable similarity percentage is a maximum of 18%. The 'Similarity Report' received through the TURNITIN (https://www.turnitin.com/login_page.asp) should be uploaded to the system by the authors.
• The text should be written in plain language and expression, comply with the writing rules, use singular and passive verbs, and not contain transposed sentences.
• While writing the articles, writing rules, the APA-6 Reference Guide, and international abbreviations and unit symbols should be taken into consideration.
• If the articles were originated from MSc or Ph.D. studies, the information should be provided under the title "Acknowledgements and Information Note" that the article was produced from the Thesis.
• For the articles to be published in the Journal of Architectural Sciences and Applications, the ETHICS COMMITTEE PERMIT is mandatory. In the articles to be published in the journal, the rules of Scientific Ethics and Publication ethics must be strictly followed. It should be stated in the article whether it is necessary to obtain an ETHICAL BOARD PERMIT and/or a LEGAL / SPECIAL PERMIT. If these permits are required, they should be presented from which institution, at which date, and with which decision or number the permission was obtained.

The copyright of each article in JASA is reserved by the author (s) of that article under the Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) copyright license, and this means that the original work can be copied, redistributed, rearranged and in any non-commercial medium or format, provided that the original work is properly cited. It allows creating a new study by using the material in the study. The author grants the non-exclusive publishing right to JASA Journal to publish their work.

Research Requiring Ethics Committee Permit;

o All kinds of research are conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using surveys, interviews, focus group work, observation, experiment, and interview techniques.
o Use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
o Clinical research on humans,
o Research on animals,
o Retrospective studies by the Law on Protection of Personal Data,
o In the case reports, it is stated that the “informed consent form” has been taken,
o Getting permission and specifying the owners for the use of scales, surveys, and photographs belonging to others,
o Indicating that copyright regulations are observed for the ideas and works of art used.

2. ARTICLE SECTION CONTENTS

On the web page of the journal, https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/mbud the article should be entered into the dergipark system, taking into account the "spelling rules" and "APA 6-Reference Guide" and International "abbreviations and unit symbols". The text should be written in plain language and expression, should conform to spelling rules, use third-person singular and passive verbs, and should not contain inverted sentences. • It should be prepared according to the JASA Article Template.
• Article Title
• The article title should be written in capital letters, 16 font size, bold, and in “Calibri” font.
• Author Name Surname, Calibri, and 13 font size must be written.
• ORCID number, Calibri, and 10 font size must be written.
• Author contact information should be written in Calibri, italic, and 10 font size.
• English Abstract
• The abstract should not be more than 150 words
• In essence, the subject discussed in the article should be briefly introduced, and the methods used and the results achieved should be specified.
• The words (maximum 6 words) defining the subject should be given as "Keywords"

• The importance, scope, and purpose of the study should be stated. Subject headings should be numbered as 1.1., 1.1.1.,
2. Material and Method
• The properties of the materials used in the article, the way they are used, etc. should be included.
• The method used should be described in detail clearly and understandably.
3. Research Findings (Research Findings and Discussion)
• • This section can optionally be organized as "Research Findings" or "Research Findings and Discussion".
4. Conclusion and Suggestions (Discussion and Conclusion)
• • This section can optionally be organized as Conclusion, "Conclusion and Suggestions" or "Discussion and Conclusion".
Acknowlegements and Information Note 
• In this section, people who contributed to the study, funds, donations, researchers' contribution rate statements, project support and acknowledgment statements, conflict statements, studies that require an Ethics Committee Decision, etc. should be specified.
• If the study was produced from the Thesis, this information should be given here. For example; This article, …. University …. Graduate School of …… Master's Degree, completed in ......... in the Department of ……... or Produced from a doctoral thesis.
• The article complies with national and international research and publication ethics.
• Ethics Committee approval was not required for the study. Or Ethics Committee approval in the study, Ethics Committee of the University of ……….. dated …………… and ……. It should be said that it was taken with decision no.

WARNINGS
• English Article Legal Control Report should be uploaded to systems.
• The entire article should be written, preferably in Rich Text Format or in an MS-Word 2003 compatible file, with a maximum of 25 pages including text, figures, and tables.
• For the text of the article, Calibri 11 font size should be used, justified, and single line spacing should be preferred.
• Figures and Tables must be cited in the text and placed after the cited paragraph. Figures and Tables should be centered in the article, Figure and Table texts should be justified and Calibri should be used in 10 points.
• APA Style should be used as the bibliography style.
• References at the end of the text should be listed first alphabetically and then in chronological order.
• In the arrangement of the references directory, the first line should be left aligned, if any, and the second and subsequent lines should be written 1.00 cm indented.

3.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT ABBREVIATIONS AND SYMBOLS
The fact that the symbols and abbreviations used in scientific publications are accepted and easy to understand by everyone is important both for the necessity of universality in science and for the reader to understand the article correctly. In this regard, the articles sent to the journal must comply with the International Unit Symbols (SI Units) as well as the Turkish – English grammar rules.
Some common mistakes in using unit symbols are:
• Use of ‘gr’ instead of ‘g’ for gram as a measure of weight,
• Use of ‘Ha’ instead of ‘ha’ for hectare as area measure,
• Putting 'dot' behind the symbols,
• No space is left between the number and the symbol,
• Consistency in the text about the dot or comma used in decimal numbers.
•
Some points to consider when using unit symbols are summarized below:

• Unit symbols are written in lowercase letters, but the first letter is capitalized if it is derived from a proper noun.
• meters - m, hectares - ha, Paskal - Pa
• The first letter of the symbols should be lowercase when expansions of the symbols are written in the sentence.
• 10 meters, 25 hectares
• Symbols are not abbreviations; they do not include a dot in the sentence.
• 2 meters - 2 m, 100 milliliters - 100 mL
• A space must be left between the symbols and the values they follow, but no space between the degree sign indicating the angle and the value.
• 15 watts - 15 W, 88 degrees Celsius - 88 ° C, 73 degrees - 73 °
• A comma is recommended in Turkish as a decimal sign. However, if necessary, the dot can also be used in the text provided that it is consistent throughout.
• 1587,09 kg/ha
• Numbers with more than three digits can be separated into triple groups using spaces and should not be preferred because they can be mixed with a decimal separator in a dot or comma.
• 85 000 ha
• For numbers less than zero, zero (0) must be used before the decimal point.

The general principles proposed by TDK in abbreviations are as follows:
• Except for some abbreviations that are traditionally used with a period, abbreviations with capital letters do not use a period.

• SDU (Süleyman Demirel University), TBMM (Turkish Grand National Assembly), UN (United Nations), SE (southeast)
• - The ones in the form of abbreviations usually take a period at the end.

• - Suffixes to abbreviations with a dot at the end and abbreviations with exponential signs are not separated by apostrophes.
• per m2 (per square meter), etc. (and the like), from kg (from kilograms)
