vren Yılmaz (1977) graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication in 1997. She got her MA (2001) and PHD (2009) degrees at Istanbul Technical University, Institute of Social Sciences with the theses "A Comparision Between Kandinsky’s, Klee’s and Malevich’s Texts and Art Works" (MA) and "Metaphysical and Philosophical Pursuits in the Arts of Mondrian and Malevich: A Review in the Light of Artists' Own Writings" (PHD) respectively. Since 2010 she is a faculty member in Suleyman Demirel University at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She runs her lectures in Istanbul Technical University at the Department of Fine Arts from 2009 onwards. She contuniues her academical works and publications in fields of modern art, art theories and on relationships between art and philosophy.
