Art-e Journal of Arts is a peer-reviewed, open access academic journal published biannually (June and December) by the Faculty of Fine Arts at Süleyman Demirel University. The journal publishes scholarly articles in Turkish and English.
Article Types
Art-e Art Journal considers research articles, review articles, case studies, and articles derived from scientific conference papers that have been presented but not previously published.

Call for Papers for the “Art and Memory” Special Issue
Our journal, published under the auspices of Süleyman Demirel University, is launching the call for papers for its special issue themed “Art and Memory,” which explores the reflections of art on social memory and the expression of memory through artistic forms.
Special Issue Submission Period: [April 27, 2026] – [May 1, 2026]
Special Issue Scope
Our “Art and Memory” special issue, adopting an interdisciplinary approach, covers the following topics (though not limited to these) that examine art’s place within practices of remembrance and forgetting:
- Memory and Space: Local and global memory spaces in visual arts.
- Collective Memory: The artistic representation of social traumas and cultural heritage.
- Archive and Art: The role of archival materials in artistic production.
- Digital Memory: The preservation of data and memory in new media art.
- Personal Narratives: Autobiographical art and personal memory.
- Art Education and Memory: The process of cultural transmission in art education.
Submission and Technical Details
Submissions must fully comply with the Art-e Art Journal style guidelines and the APA 7 format.
You may submit your articles via the Dergi Park system by selecting the “Art and Memory Special Issue” option during submission. Articles not marked as part of the special issue will not be considered for review.
Documents required during submission:
- Full manuscript file compliant with the journal template (named)
- Supplementary manuscript file compliant with the journal template (unnamed)
- Author Declaration and License Form
- Plagiarism report (Turnitin and iThenticate)
- Ethics Committee Approval Certificate (for applicable studies)

Attention Authors:
As of July 1, 2019, authors must upload plagiarism reports generated by iThenticate or Turnitin for all articles during the submission process. Articles with a similarity rate exceeding 15% (excluding references) will be rejected directly without proceeding to the evaluation stage.

Plagiarism Policy
- Since 1 July 2019, authors are required to upload a similarity report obtained from iThenticate, Turnitin, or İntihal.net during the submission process for all manuscripts.
- Manuscripts with a similarity rate exceeding 15% excluding references are rejected before entering the peer review process.
- If plagiarism or other ethical violations are detected during the evaluation process or after publication, necessary actions are taken in accordance with COPE guidelines.
