Since 1991 taught courses on types, genres, history and staging of traditional dances in Turkey. Publications and research presentations treat structural analysis of Anatolian traditional dances and changes in socio-cultural context. Head of Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory Turkish Folk Dance Department. Artistic Director of State Conservatory Ekin Traditional Dance Ensemble (GO) and Ege Culture Association (NGO). Chair of ICTM Study Group on Music and Dance in Southeastern Europe and member of Ethnochoreology Study Group. Published three books on Ethnochoreology.
