Published biannually in April and October by Atatürk Institute of Strategic Studies (AISS), the Journal of Security Strategies is a double-blind peer-reviewed and interdisciplinary journal. The Journal was first published by Strategic Research Institute (SRI) of Turkish War Colleges in 2005 and continued its publication life uninterrupted since then. The Journal’s publishing rights have been transferred to Atatürk Institute of Strategic Studies established under Turkish National Defense University in 2016.
Becoming an international peer-reviewed journal as of December 2011, the Journal of Security Strategies has been published timely and appropriately to the scientific criteria, starting from its very first issue. The Journal is now indexed in EBSCO (Academic Search Complete), International Security and Counter-Terrorism Reference Center (ISCTRC), Central and Eastern Online Library (CEEOL), Index Copernicus, ASOS Social Sciences Index and ARASTIRMAX Scientific Publication Index, as well as in Social Sciences and Humanities Database within ULAKBİM (National Academic Network and Information Center), which is under TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). In addition, we do our best for the Journal to be indexed in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) which indexes only a few journals published in the field of social science in our country.
The Journal of Security Strategies welcomes articles on international security, and related interdisciplinary issues under the general field of social sciences and humanities. We accept articles written in English, German or French, as well as in Turkish.
