Güvenlik Stratejileri Dergisi is a double-blind peer-reviewed and interdisciplinary journal, published triannually in April, August and December. The Journal was first published open-access by Strategic Research Institute (SRI) of Turkish War Colleges in 2005 and continued its publication life uninterrupted since then. The Journal’s publishing rights have been transferred to Atatürk Strategic Studies and Graduate Institute (ATASAREN) established under Turkish National Defence University in 2016.

Becoming an international peer-reviewed journal as of December 2011, the Güvenlik Stratejileri Dergisi has been published timely and appropriately to the scientific criteria, starting from its very first issue. The Journal is now indexed in EBSCO (Academic Search Complete), Central and Eastern Online Library (CEEOL), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) as well as in Social Sciences and Humanities Database within ULAKBİM (National Academic Network and Information Center), which is under TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). In addition, we do our best for the Journal to be indexed in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) which indexes only a few journals published in the field of social science in our country.

Güvenlik Stratejileri Dergisi embraces an open access publication, based on the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) declaration. All published content is freely accessible at https://gsd.msu.edu.tr/EN/Home  and https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/guvenlikstrtj. Authors retain the copyright of their published work in the journal. The journal’s content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) 4.0 International License which permits third parties to share and adapt the content for non-commercial purposes by giving the appropriate credit to the original work.

Güvenlik Stratejileri Dergisi welcomes articles on international security, and related interdisciplinary issues under the general field of social sciences and humanities. We accept articles written in English, German or French, as well as in Turkish.
