Biyografi
Dr. Huzeyfe Torun is the Executive Director at the Structural Economic Research Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. He completed both Economics and Political Science and International Relations majors at Boğaziçi University in 2009. He subsequently received his M. A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics at the University of Virginia, in 2011 and 2014 respectively.
Dr. Torun’s research interests are in Labor Economics, International Trade and Applied Economics. His research primarily focuses on understanding the role of institutions and government policies in labor market outcomes of individuals and firms. His secondary focus revolves around the impact of government policies on trade performance of firms. In particular, he has studied the impact of regulations regarding minimum wage, education, migration on economic outcomes of individuals and firm dynamics.
Torun is a co-editor of Central Bank Review and an affiliate of Global Labor Organization.
