Effects of COVID-19 Pandemic on Turkish Banking Industry Employees and Their Customer: Swot AnalysisThe COVID-2019 (coronavirus), which emerged in Wuhan Province of China and then spread to the whole world and declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization, has negatively affected many sectors also in Turkey. The pandemic has affected economic, social, and cultural domains. The COVID-19 (coronavirus) has also influenced the banking industry in Turkey and the whole world within a short period and posed serious health risks. The Turkish banking sector, which is one of the important institutions in the sound functioning of the financial system, has taken the necessary precautions as soon as possible to protect against the negative impacts of this pandemic and to fulfill its banking functions in a safe manner. Besides, throughout this difficult period, the Turkish banking system has quickly established the technical infrastructure that would acquire a stronger and much durable structure. In this study, the risky situations encountered by the Turkish banking sector throughout the coronavirus process, which has vital importance in channeling resources to productive domains within the financial system, are examined; the measures, support packages, and changing service items in banking activities are introduced. In the study, the SWOT analysis method was used to evaluate the situation of the Turkish Banking sector in combating the pandemic.
