Editorial Processing Charge (EPC)
An Editorial Processing Charge (EPC) is applied to each submitted manuscript and must be paid before the peer review process begins.
This charge covers administrative and operational costs incurred during the initial editorial stages and includes all applicable taxes.
• Payment of the EPC does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
• The EPC is non-refundable, even if the manuscript is declined after peer review.

What Does the EPC Cover?
The EPC supports essential editorial and technical services required for high-quality publication standards, including:
• Initial Screening: Verification of technical, ethical, and formatting compliance
• Editorial Coordination: Management of the peer review and communication process
• Article Production: Typesetting and layout design for online and PDF formats
• Proofreading: Author–editor collaboration during final revision stages
• Quality Control: Ensuring editorial integrity and adherence to ethical standards
• Dissemination & Indexing: Enhancing visibility and discoverability in academic databases
• Technical Infrastructure: Maintenance of submission, review, and tracking systems

Waiver Policy
Authors affiliated with institutions located in low- and lower-middle-income countries are eligible for a 100% EPC waiver.
Waivers are automatically granted based on the corresponding author’s institutional affiliation.

Eligible countries include (but are not limited to):
Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cameroon, Chad, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Haiti, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kiribati, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tatarstan, Togo, Tunisia, Turkestan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Yakutia, Yemen, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
