Author Guidelines
The International Journal of Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing original research in agriculture, environmental sciences, and food sciences. Authors are expected to prepare their manuscripts according to the guidelines below. Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements will be returned to the authors before peer review.
Scope of Submissions
The journal accepts only Original Research Articles. Priority is given to experimental studies based on field and/or laboratory research. Review articles, as well as studies based solely on questionnaires, literature compilations, or simulations without experimental validation, are not considered.
Language and Formatting Requirements
- Language: English
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), prepared using the journal's Manuscript Template
- Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt
- Line spacing: Single (1.0) throughout the text
- Margins: 1.8 cm on all sides; A4 portrait orientation
- Units: SI units (temperatures in °C)
- Title: Maximum 15 words, bold, 16 pt, left-aligned
- Author names: Full names of all authors
- Affiliations: University, Faculty, Department, City, Country
- Scientific names: Latin binomials in italics, written in full with authority at first mention (e.g., Vitis vinifera L.); cultivar names in single quotation marks

- Title

- Abstract (maximum 300 words; no citations, undefined abbreviations, or references to tables and figures)
- Keywords (3–6, alphabetical order)
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results and Discussion

- Compliance with Ethical Standards
- References (APA 7th edition, with DOIs where available)
Author names and affiliations are included in the manuscript file at submission. For double-blind peer review, all identifying information is removed by the Editorial Office before the manuscript is sent to reviewers.
Compliance with Ethical Standards
All manuscripts must include a Compliance with Ethical Standards section addressing each of the following items (template sentences are provided in the Manuscript Template):
- Conflict of Interest
- Author Contributions (CRediT)
- Ethics Committee Approval
- Consent to Participate / Publish
- Funding
- Data Availability
- Generative AI Statement
- Acknowledgments
- Thesis (if the manuscript is derived from a thesis)
Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system: Submit your manuscript
Required submission files:
1. Manuscript prepared with the journal template (Word file)
2. Ethics Statement and Approval Form (signed by all authors)
3. Copyright and License Agreement (signed by all authors)
Incomplete submissions will not proceed to peer review.
Peer Review Policy
- Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers
- Typical review time: 4–12 weeks, depending on the subject area and reviewer availability
- Final decision by the Editor-in-Chief, based on scientific merit and reviewer recommendations
- Authors are notified of the editorial decision through the DergiPark system
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain full copyright of their work. Upon acceptance, they grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the article under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Editorial Processing Charge (EPC)
An Editorial Processing Charge (EPC) is applied at submission to cover administrative and technical costs (editorial management, formatting, DOI registration, and hosting). The EPC is non-refundable, is independent of the editorial decision, and must be paid by the corresponding author or their institution before peer review begins. The journal does not charge submission fees or Article Processing Charges (APC). Current rates and details are available on the Price Policy page.
