Emerging Trends and Technologies in Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences

Scope and Objectives
This Special Issue aims to explore cutting-edge research, emerging technologies, and interdisciplinary approaches that address contemporary challenges and opportunities across the domains of agriculture, food, and environmental sciences.

We welcome submissions that present scientific and practical advances in areas such as digitalization, sustainability, nanotechnology, plant breeding, biotechnology, and resource-efficient innovations, which contribute to the development of smart and resilient agri-food-environmental systems.

This issue seeks to foster interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and to highlight novel solutions aimed at enhancing productivity, resilience, and environmental sustainability in agriculture and food systems.

The scope of the special issue includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Precision agriculture and smart farming systems
- Nanotechnology applications in agriculture and food
- Agronomy and crop management
- Plant breeding and genetic improvement
- Agricultural biotechnology and molecular techniques
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning in agri-food systems
- Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor technologies
- Sustainable food production, processing, and storage
- Climate-resilient crop production strategies
- Soil fertility, water management, and conservation
- Environmental monitoring, pollution control, and remediation
- Circular economy, zero-waste strategies, and biomass utilization
- Biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services
- Socio-economic and policy frameworks for agricultural and environmental sustainability

Article Types
Original Research Articles and Review Articles will be considered for this special issue.
The submission of state-of-the-art and timely review articles is especially encouraged.

Manuscript Submission Start Date: 20 July 2025
Manuscript Submission Deadline: 15 November 2025
Notification of Acceptance: within 4–6 weeks of submission
Online Publication (upon acceptance): Continuous (Early Access)
Final Issue Compilation: December 2025 – Volume X, Issue Y

Editorial Processing Charge (EPC)
The journal operates under an open-access model with no submission fee and no article processing charge (APC). However, an Editorial Processing Charge (EPC) is required to cover the costs associated with the editorial workflow prior to peer review.

Amount: 3.000 TRY
Payable Before Review: The EPC must be paid before the peer review process begins.

Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the journal’s Author Guidelines

- Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal’s online submission system on DergiPark: https://dergipark.org.tr/en/journal/2032/submission/step/manuscript/new.

- Manuscripts should be prepared as a Microsoft Word file.

All manuscripts will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality scholarly contributions.

Accepted papers will be published open access and made available to a global audience immediately upon online publication.
