History of the Journal
The Süleyman Demirel University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (SUITDER), a peer-reviewed journal, began its publication journey in 1995 under the name Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Journal of Social Sciences. In 2024, the journal underwent a name change. Indexed in the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM TR Index, SUITDER has further established its international standing through inclusion in MLA International Bibliography, Erih+ and DOAJ.
The journal aims to present researchers' studies in Archaeology, Western Languages and Literature, Geography, Philosophy, Psychology, Art History, Sociology, History, and Turkish Language and Literature in both Turkish and English to the academic community for their contribution and discussion. (Submissions from fields under the Faculty of Educational Sciences, the Faculty of Theology, and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences are not accepted.)
Since 2016, the journal has been published in both print and electronic formats. However, from 2018 onward, it has continued exclusively in electronic format.

Published semiannually in June and December, the Süleyman Demirel University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (SUITDER) opens its submission portal on the first day of the month following each issue's release. To maintain a dedicated focus on both ongoing and newly received manuscripts, the submission window concludes at the end of a one-month period. Accordingly, SUITDER accepts submissions between July 1–July 31 following the June issue and between January 1–January 31 following the December issue. The publication order for accepted manuscripts is sequenced based on their initial submission dates. This declaration has been formulated in full compliance with the principles of scientific integrity, transparency, respect for human dignity, and commitment to research and publication ethics of the Süleyman Demirel University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (SUITDER).
