Submission and Review Process

Yegah Musicology Journal accepts original research articles, review articles, and book reviews. All submissions undergo an initial editorial evaluation followed by a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers.

Ethical Standards

Yegah Musicology Journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical standards in scholarly publishing and follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are expected to ensure that their submissions are original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration elsewhere.

All sources must be properly cited, and any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical conduct is unacceptable. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to their work.

Ethics Committee Approval

Studies involving data collection from human participants (such as interviews, surveys, or observational research) must comply with relevant ethical regulations. Where required, authors must obtain ethics committee approval and clearly state this information in the Method / Methodology section of the manuscript.

The following standard statement should be used:

“This research was approved by the Ethics Committee of … University on xx.xx.xxxx, with decision number xx.”

Publication Language

The journal publishes articles in Turkish and English. Articles written in Turkish must include an English-language extended abstract.

Submission System

Manuscripts are submitted and processed through the DergiPark (OJS) system.

Publication Fees

Manuscripts submitted to the journal are taken into the editorial preliminary evaluation and peer-review process without any fee being requested.
The Editorial Processing Charge (EPC) is intended solely to support publication-related services and is completely independent of editorial evaluation and peer-review reports.
This fee may be paid by the author at a time of their choosing and has no influence on editorial decisions.
