He started his academic career as an English Instructor at Gazi University Rectorate Foreign Languages Department in 1987, and then continued as a lecturer at Gazi Education Faculty, Foreign Languages Education, English Language Teaching Department until 1994. He taught Translation and General English at the Military Academy. In February 1994, he worked as a lecturer and assistant professor at Abant İzzet Baysal University, Faculty of Education, Foreign Languages Education and English Language Education until December 1995. He started working at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in December 1995.

In 1996, he founded the Foreign Language Education Research and Application Center at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. Organized many international conferences - International ELT Research Conference. In addition, he pioneered the establishment of the Continuing Education Center and worked as the center manager for a long time. He also pioneered the establishment of the Turkish Education Center (TÖMER) and the Child Education Application Center and the School of Foreign Languages. He was the founder and president of NGOs related to language education and general education research in general. In 2008, he founded EAB (Educational Research Association) in Turkey and in 2012 he founded UDEAD and ULEAD associations. He currently serves as the President of the International Educational Researchers Association.
Regarding Quality Assurance and Accreditation studies, he served as a founding member of the Accreditation and Evaluation Association of Teacher Training Programs in our country and currently serves as the vice president. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Central and Eastern European Association of Quality Assurance Agents in Higher Education.
He was the local coordinator of the EU language projects "European Awareness and Intercomprehension" and "Redinter". He has many articles published in journals and articles presented at international conferences and congresses. He is the author of books on the subjects of Translation Studies and Translation Education, Intercultural Communication, and has also written and edited chapters in many books. He is also the editor-in-chief of ELT Research Journal.
Serkan İzmirli is an associate professor in the field of instructional technologies at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.
He graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Fatih Faculty of Education, Fatih Faculty of Education, Mentally Handicapped Education Program in 2003. He worked as a teacher and administrator in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education until 2012. In 2007, he graduated from Ankara University Institute of Educational Sciences Adult Education Master's program, and in 2009, he graduated from Gazi University Institute of Educational Sciences Mental Disabilities Teaching Master's program. Kalkan graduated from Gazi University Institute of Educational Sciences, Teaching the Mentally Handicapped program in 2019 and still continues his academic life as a doctoral faculty member in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Education, Department of Special Education and has taken part in many book chapters, articles and projects. Kalkan conducts professional development and early intervention studies, especially early childhood special education based on autism and young children with intellectual disabilities (0-8 years).
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gültekin, 1988 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Fakültesi Eğitim Programları ve Öğretim Bölümünü, 1990 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Eğitim Programları ve Öğretim Anabilim Dalında (Program Geliştirme) yüksek lisansını ve 1997 yılında da aynı Enstitü ve aynı alanda doktorasını tamamladı. 1997 yılında yardımcı doçent, 2009 yılında doçent ve 2014 yılında da profesör olan Dr. Mehmet Gültekin Anadolu Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Temel Eğitim Bölümü Sınıf Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmaktadır. I am a professor of chemistry education. I have been teaching courses mainly on research methods in education and teaching and learning of science and chemistry at the secondary level. My research interests include teacher training, curriculum evaluation, how students learn in science/chemistry, undergraduates’ understandings of chemical ideas in thermodynamics, context-based teaching, problem-based learning, trends in science/chemistry education, and teaching science/chemistry to visually impaired students.
I have served in IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry - www.iupac.org) Committee on Chemistry Education as a titular member (2008-2015) and chair (2016-2017). Currently, I am representing Turkey as a national representative in the same committee since 2018.
I am also a member of some national and international organizations serving in science or chemistry education as well as taking active roles such as board memberships and administrative duties.
Dr. Rokhatoy Abidova is a distinguished academic and Head of the English Language and Literature Department at Urgench State University, Uzbekistan. She holds a PhD in Philological Sciences, having defended her dissertation on “Linguacultural and Linguapragmatic Features of the Speech Act of Gratitude in English and Uzbek Languages.”
She is the author of over 40 scientific articles and teaching manuals, and actively teaches courses in language methodology, literature, and professional English. A committed member of UzTEA, Dr. Abidova regularly participates in international conferences and training programs organized by the British Council and other institutions.
Her contributions include leadership in curriculum development, notably the PRESETT program, and active involvement in major British Council-led projects under the AELLCA initiative, focusing on teacher career development and inclusive education. She also participates in Uzbekistan’s National Quality Code pilot project. Dr. Abidova’s extensive academic, research, and international engagement mark her as a leading figure in English language education in the region.
30 Kasım 1977 tarihinde Almanya’da doğdu. İlk ve orta öğrenimini Almanya’da, lise öğrenimini Çanakkale’de tamamladı. Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sosyal Alanlar Eğitimi Bölümü Türk Dili ve Ede¬biyatı Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalından 2001 yılında mezun oldu. 2001 yılında Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı öğretmeni olarak Tekirdağ’ın Malkara ilçesine atandı. Aynı yıl, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Türkçe Eği¬timi Anabilim Dalında yüksek lisans öğrenimine başladı. Malkara’da 4 ay görev yaptıktan sonra Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü Sınıf Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalına Araştırma Görevlisi olarak atandı. Yüksek lisans öğrenimini 2003 yılında tamamladı. 2004 yılında Rektörlük Türk Dili okutmanlığına atanan Dr. Örge Yaşar, 2009 yılında Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü Türkçe Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında doktora öğrenimine başladı. Doktora öğrenimini 2013 yılında tamamlayıp 2016 yılında Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Türkçe Eğitimi Anabilim Dalına öğretim üyesi olarak atandı. 2020 yılında Türkçe Eğitimi alanında Doçent unvanını aldı. Kendisi halen Doç. Dr. olarak Türkçe Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında görevine devam etmekte olup çalışmalarını Türkçe Öğretimi, Dil Bilimi ve Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğretimi alanlarında sürdürmektedir. Çok iyi derecede Almanca, iyi derecede İngilizce bilen Dr. Örge Yaşar, evli ve iki çocuk annesidir.
