İDEALKENT is an academic journal focused on urbanization and spatial studies. It is peer-reviewed and committed to scientific publishing principles. Published by İdealKent Publications since 2010, it features original research produced in the fields of architecture, city and regional planning, urban sociology/urban studies, and local governance. The journal provides an open platform for interdisciplinary studies that examine the relationships between city, society, and space together with their social, economic, cultural, and administrative dimensions. In addition to academic research conducted using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods, theoretical and methodological contributions are also considered. İDEALKENT aims to bring contemporary urban issues into scientific debate and to produce lasting contributions to the literature.

Until 31 December 2025, İDEALKENT published four issues per year—in March, June, September, and December. As of 1 January 2026, the journal has adopted a Continuous Publication Model and evaluates submissions through a double-blind peer-review process. All works published in our journal are licensed under the CC BY 4.0 license, and a DOI is assigned to each article. In line with our open-access policy, all published content is available online and free of charge. Our journal adheres to publication ethics within the framework of COPE and DOAJ principles.
