| Description |
Our publishing journey began in 2012 under the imprint Necmettin Erbakan University Cultural Publications. After operating under this name for eight years, the University adopted a new organizational structure in 2020 to bring fresh momentum to university publishing, ensure long-term sustainability, and strengthen institutional branding. This transformation resulted in the establishment of Necmettin Erbakan University Publications, an integrated framework that encompasses the Printing Center, Typesetting & Graphic Design, Academic Translation, and Statistics and Data Analysis units. With this institutional restructuring, the University aimed to coordinate its scholarly journal publishing activities with its broader academic publishing operations in a more systematic manner, while advancing internationalization and brand consolidation. In line with these objectives, a series of agreements were concluded to foster cooperation and strategic partnerships with globally recognized publishers and aggregators. Accordingly, collaboration initiatives were launched with leading international publishers—most notably Elsevier, Springer Nature, Wiley, and SAGE—as well as with major indexing and content platforms and aggregators such as EBSCO, Web of Science, and ProQuest. Through these partnerships, Necmettin Erbakan University Publications has evolved into a globally positioned brand under the name Necmettin Erbakan University Press (NEU Press) and continues its publishing activities with an international publisher identity, currently hosting 32 scholarly journals and more than 500 academic books. As NEU Press, we pioneered a first in Turkey by signing an agreement with EBSCO, enabling the electronic discoverability of our publications through the EBSCO Collection Manager (ECM)—one of the world’s most widely used e-book discovery and management environments. In addition, our publications are also indexed and searchable via WorldCat, the world’s largest online public access catalog. These indexing and discovery services enhance the global visibility and accessibility of our books, enabling millions of users worldwide to locate our content, supporting researchers in disseminating their work to broader audiences, and facilitating the identification of emerging research trends and potential collaboration opportunities. |
