Archiving Policy
Sinop University Social Sciences Journal is committed to the principles of open access and supports the long-term preservation, visibility, and accessibility of scholarly publications. The journal encourages authors to deposit and share their work in institutional and subject-based open access repositories.
Authors may archive different versions of their manuscripts under the following conditions.
Preprint
The version of a manuscript prior to peer review may be deposited on the author's personal website, institutional repository, or a trusted subject-specific repository.
Accepted Manuscript (Postprint)
The accepted manuscript, following peer review but prior to copyediting, typesetting, and publisher formatting, may be deposited in institutional repositories and other trusted open access repositories.
Version of Record
The final published version (Version of Record) may be deposited and shared in institutional repositories and academic sharing platforms, provided that appropriate citation is given, the DOI is included, and a link to the original publication on the journal website is provided.
Archiving Information
When depositing any version of an article, authors are encouraged to include:
- Journal title: Sinop University Social Sciences Journal
- Article title
- Author(s)
- DOI
- Volume, issue, and publication year
- Link to the journal's official website
Institutional Repositories
The journal encourages authors to archive their publications in the Sinop University institutional repository (e.g., DSpace@Sinop) or other trusted institutional repositories to ensure long-term digital preservation and wider dissemination of research outputs.
Open Access and Embargo
All articles published in Sinop University Social Sciences Journal are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.
The journal does not impose an embargo period on the archiving or sharing of any version of the manuscript.
