Ömer Gökhan Ulum is an Associate Professor in the Department of English Language Teaching at the Faculty of Education, Mersin University, Turkey. His scholarly work is situated at the intersection of language, culture, and education, with a particular focus on language ideology, English as a foreign language (EFL), gender studies, women’s issues, ideology, and hegemony. Drawing on critical and sociocultural perspectives, his research critically examines how power relations, social inequalities, and dominant ideologies are constructed, reproduced, and resisted through language and educational practices.
