Peer Review

JIENS applies a double-blind peer-review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by evaluation by at least two independent expert reviewers. Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and reviewer recommendations.

Publication Ethics

JIENS is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal follows the recommendations and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

Open Access Policy

JIENS is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely and permanently accessible immediately after publication.

There are no submission, processing, or publication fees (APCs) charged to authors.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published biannually, with two issues each year:

• July

Language Policy

As part of its internationalization strategy, JIENS updated its language policy effective 18 August 2026. From this date onward, the journal accepts and publishes manuscripts exclusively in English. Articles published before this date may be in Turkish or English in accordance with the journal's previous language policy.

DOI and Archiving

Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure permanent identification and citation. All articles are electronically archived to ensure their long-term preservation and accessibility.
