Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers

The International Journal of Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences adheres to the ethical principles outlined by the

Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)
.
Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and credibility of the peer-review process and are expected to observe the following ethical standards:

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Confidentiality: Review materials and content must be kept strictly confidential and not shared or used for personal advantage.
  • Objectivity: Reviews must be based on scholarly merit and scientific integrity, avoiding personal criticism or bias.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts (financial, institutional, collaborative, etc.) and may decline the review if such conflicts exist.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within the designated time (typically 30 days). Delays must be communicated to the editorial office promptly.
  • Constructive Feedback: Comments should be professional, respectful, and aimed at improving the manuscript.

Note: Reviewers who fail to meet these ethical standards may be removed from the reviewer pool to ensure the journal’s adherence to COPE and international ethical publishing guidelines.
