ALICI, Erciyes Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Sinema ve Televizyon Bölümü'nden 2004 yılında mezun olduktan sonra Kocaeli Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Radyo, Televizyon ve Sinema Anabilim Dalı'nda yüksek lisansını tamamladı. Doktor unvanını 2018 yılında Marmara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü'nün aynı Anabilim Dalı'nda "2000'li Yıllardan Günümüze Türk Animasyon Filmlerinin Modernleşme Kuramları Açısından İncelenmesi" adlı teziyle aldı. Yönetmen yardımcılığı, yapımcılık, yapım koordinatörlüğü, senaristlik gibi çeşitli görevlerde bulunan ALICI, 2013 yılında Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Sinema ve Televizyon Bölümü'nde, 2014-2018 yılları arasında (geçici görevlendirme ile) Marmara Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi'nde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalıştı. Sinema alanında çeşitli kitap, makale, bildiri, kitap bölümü vb. eserleri bulunan yazar, halen Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Radyo Televizyon ve Sinema Bölümü'ndeki görevine 2020 yılından itibaren doçent olarak devam etmektedir.

Anadolu Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümü’nde öğretim üyesidir. Yemek sosyolojisi, gıda ve beslenme sosyolojisi, gıda çalışmaları, tüketim sosyolojisi, gastronomi, yemek ve kültür temel ilgi alanlarıdır. Orta sınıf ve dışarıda yemek, fast food, kahve kültürü ve tüketimi, beslenme ve toplumsal eşitsizlikler, beslenmenin sosyolojik boyutları üzerine makaleleri, “Beslencenin Sosyolojisi” başlığı ile bir kitabı bulunmaktadır. Son dönemde yoğunlaştığı konular arasında afet sonrası sahra mutfakları ve kırsal gıda güvencesizliği yer almaktadır.
Gülin Terek Ünal continued her education at the undergraduate level in the Department of Cinema and Television at Anadolu University, following her studies at the Italian High School. She completed both her master’s and doctoral degrees in the Department of Public Relations at Marmara University Faculty of Communication. Ünal began her academic career in 2000 at Bahçeşehir University in the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, and later worked in the Department of Public Relations at Marmara University. Since 2009, she has been continuing her work at Istanbul University Faculty of Communication in the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, and she was awarded the title of professor in 2024.
Her academic interests include film and media studies, visual culture, semiotics, gender studies, cultural studies, and digital game culture. In addition to her principal research work, "Kültürün Görsel Yolculuğu", she has authored two additional books—one co-authored and one edited. She has also published national and international book chapters, numerous peer-reviewed articles, and works featured in conference, symposium, and proceedings volumes. Alongside her academic scholarship, Ünal has received awards for her work as a director and assistant director on various projects, and she has also participated in initiatives conducted within the scope of the European Union and the United Nations.
2017 yılında Akdeniz Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Sinema-TV bölümünden mezun oldu. Lisans döneminde yönettiği filmler çeşitli festivallerde gösterim ve ödüller aldı. Son kısa filmi BluTV platformunda kendine yer buldu. "2000 Sonrası Bağımsız Türkiye Sineması'nda Fantastik Eğilimler" adlı teziyle Akdeniz Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Enstitüsü Sinema-TV yüksek lisans programını birincilikle tamamladı. İlk romanı Kemikler ve Kartlar 2024 yılında İthaki Yayınları'ndan çıktı. 2021 yılında tam burslu olarak kazandığı Maltepe Üniversitesi Sinema Sanatta Yeterlik bölümünden 2025 yılında mezun oldu. İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi'nde Dr. Öğr. Üyesi'dir. Çalışmalarına sinema, edebiyat ve akademi üçgeninde devam etmektedir.
1982 yılında Elazığ’da doğan Sevcan Yağan, ilk, orta ve lise eğitimini Elazığ’da tamamladıktan sonra, 2002-2006 yılları arasında Çukurova Üniversitesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği lisans programından; 2007-2010 yılları arasında Anadolu Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü Okul Öncesi Eğitimi yüksek lisans programından ve 2011-2014 yılları arasında da Hacettepe Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü Erken Çocukluk Eğitimi doktora programından mezun olmuştur.
2006-2014 yılları arasında, Anadolu Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği lisans programında araştırma görevlisi olarak; 2014-2016 yılları arasında İstanbul Okan Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Yüksek Okulu Çocuk Gelişimi programında yardımcı doçent olarak; 2016-2021 yılları arasında da İstanbul Kültür Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği lisans programında doktor öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmıştır. 2021 yılından beridir; İstanbul Kültür Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği lisans programında doçent unvanı ile görev yapan Yağan; erken çocukluk eğitiminde toplumsal cinsiyet; nitelikli ebeveyn-çocuk ilişkisi; babalık, hak temelli eğitim ve çocuk hakları, erken çocuklukta demokrasi ve değer eğitimi konularında çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Doç. Dr. Sevcan Yağan aynı zamanda, Çağdaş Drama Derneği drama liderliği programı ve Çocuklar için Felsefe (P4C) eğitici eğitimlerini tamamlamıştır.
Marmara Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Gazetecilik Bölümünde görevini sürdüren Doç. Dr. Süheyla Nil Mustafa, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılap Tarihi Enstitüsünde "Osmanlı Polisinin İnşası, 1880-1918" başlıklı doktora teziyle Doktor unvanını aldı. Yüksek lisans eğitimini Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, Siyaset Bilimi ve Uluslararası İlişkiler Bölümünde tamamladı. Peter Lang Yayınları tarafından 2021'de yayınlanmış olan "Discourse and Identity in Turkish Media" kitabının editörüdür. Mustafa’nın akademik ilgi alanları arasında medya sosyolojisi, kimlik, toplumsal cinsiyet, söylem ve iletişim tarihi bulunmaktadır.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Süreyya İMRE BIYIKLI is an academic specializing in econometrics and time series analysis. She completed her undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies in econometrics. Her academic research primarily focuses on econometrics, time series analysis, panel data methods, and machine learning algorithms. She has published several articles and conference papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals. Currently, she teaches courses in econometrics and data science, and in her research, she integrates both traditional econometric methods and contemporary data science approaches.
Mediterranean Journal of GWS - a periodical which includes interdisciplinary conceptual, empirical and methodological discussions - aims at developing dialogs among researchers from various disciplines and producing and popularizing current discussions in the field and making them accessible.
Mediterranean Journal of Gender and Women’s Studies (KTC) is published biannually in May and November as a peer-reviewed international electronic journal. It welcomes empirical studies and compilations prepared from the perspective of women and gender among all disciplines relating to women and gender issues particularly sociology, psychology, anthropology, communications, history, economics, education, business administration, law, health sciences and political science.
Mediterranean Journal of Gender and Women's Studies is dedicated to publishing unique interdisciplinary studies designed with women, gender and feminist perspectives. The content of the journal is created as the publications that complete the editorial process are published in full-text on-line on the internet which is subject to the General Public License.
The work to be submitted to the Mediterranean journal of Gender and Women's Studies should not have been published in any other media/elsewhere. In order for the submitted full texts to be taken into the evaluation process, it is necessary to include titles, English / Turkish abstracts, and references. The full text of the works and texts should consist of a maximum of 10,000 words, including abstracts, tables / figures, references and text content. It would be appropriate for the work to be monitored in the following order:
Title, Author Information (Name, Surname, the Organization where s/he works for, Contact Information), Abstract, Key Words, English Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Main Text, Method, Findings, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Writer's Note.
Articles must be prepared in Microsoft Word format. It is necessary to leave margins of 3 cm from the left, 2.5 cm from the top, and 2 cm from the right and bottom of the page structure.
The top and bottom headings of the article should be formatted in 12 point Times New Roman in bold. The heading of the work should be at the beginning of the abstract in Turkish and English on the first page of the full text. Headlines can be at most 40 words long. Regardless of the language used, the abstract must consist of at least 150 and at most 250 words. A min. of 3 and a max. of 5 keywords that indicate the quality of the article should be specified in the abstract.
In the articles that will apply to the GWS journal, there should be an extended summary of at least 500 words in English (Turkish for articles written in English) on the purpose, method, finding and result of the study. Care should be taken that the extended abstracts are not the same as the abstract in the second language of the article.
Except for the headings, the text content of the article should be in 12 point Times New Roman font. The text should be set to 1.5 cm line spacing and one space (2 cm) should be left between the paragraphs. The first lines of the paragraphs should be indented 1.27 cm from the left
Visual contents such as tables, figures, pictures and graphics should be included in the text.
The references page lists only the sources cited in the article. Every reference list entry should have at least one corresponding in-text citation in the American Psychological Association (APA) style. Further information on providing reference can be obtained from the APA Publication Manual.

The use of any part of the article in another publication is permitted, provided that Mediterranean Journal of Gender and Women's Studies is specified as the publisher and referred to the Journal. While citing, Journal Name, Article Name, Name (Surname) of the Author (s), Volume No, Issue No and Year should be given.
The corresponding author also undertakes that “GWS Journal and Journal editors” are not responsible for the demands for rights or cases to be opened by the third parties due to the violation of right and all the responsibilities belong to him/her as a corresponding author. Policies concerning possible abuse claims
KTC Journal adopts the measures of COPE's "possible abuse" situations against abuse and misuse. Therefore, in the Publication Ethics Principles section publisher, editors, referers, editorial board and authors ' obligations throughout the pre-, in progress- and post- publication possible abuse situations are clearly defined in detail.

Manuscripts to be submitted to the Mediterranean Journal of Women's Studies and Gender (KTC) must not have been previously published, included in the publication program, or have not entered the evaluation phase for publication in another journal. The copyright of the articles published in the Mediterranean Journal of Women's Studies and Gender is licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0. In accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution principles, it is allowed to share the works by citing the author and the Journal.
The author has to sign the Copyright Transfer Form and upload it to the Dergipark system when applying for an article to the KTC Journal.
