If desired, Research Findings and Discussion sections can be written under a single heading.
12. If the research envisages data collection through surveys, interviews, focus group studies, etc., ethics committee approval must be obtained from the ethics committees established for human research, it must be stated as a text in the materials and methods section of the research and under the heading "ethics statement" before the bibliography at the end of the research.

All tables and pictures given should be cited in the text, and figures and tables should be given in the article. Large and colorful shapes and pictures should be avoided. In the numbering and explanation of figures and tables, a period should be used after the number and the part up to this point (including the period) should be written in bold. Figure titles should be below the figure, table titles should be left-justified above the table. The data in the image must be legible.
Tables should be prepared as editable text in MS Office files. Statistical result charts should not be in the form of pictures. Tables and figures are placed in the relevant text in the article. 18. Writing rules and process in articles prepared using review/bibliometric analysis/qualitative analysis methods are the same as in research articles. However, Review articles must contain at least 20 references, at least 75% of which belong to the last 10 years, and must not have been published in any publication before. In addition, there is no obligation to use other headings except the Introduction and Conclusion main headings in review articles. The author can determine the titles in review articles himself/herself, but the abstract is written in a structured manner as in a research article. A number of reviews can be published, and studies made using bibliometric analysis and/or qualitative analysis methods can be published. A maximum of two articles can be published in each issue, depending on the number of articles in that issue.
19. Citing the research published in the previous issues of the journal in the articles to be published in the Journal of Agricultural Economics is of great importance in terms of contributing to the scanning of our journal in international citation indexes.
20. Articles should be prepared in accordance with the Harvard reference system (Emerald's Harvard referencing style), citation and referencing rules. In the citations in the article, the "author and date" system should be used, except in special cases. If more than one source is to be cited at the same time, the publications should be separated by semicolons and given in chronological order. For example: (Surname, 2002; Surname et al., 2009; Surname, 2010; Surname and Surname, 2012). In works with two authors, the names of the authors should be separated by "and" (in sources written in a foreign language, "and"), in works with multiple authors, "et al." (in foreign language sources, "et al.") should be used. For example: (Surname, 2007), (Surname and Surname, 2005), (Surname et al., 2003). Multiple uses of publications with more than one author or a single author should also be in historical order, and in the use of many publications in the same year, alphabetical order depending on the first author should be taken into account. For example: (Shooter and Gift, 2019; Yercan and Kınıklı, 2019). When citing different sources published in the same year belonging to the same author/institution/etc., alphabet letters should be used after the year.

Examples
…… about teaching quality (Berk, 2013). ……. SET administration (Avery et al., 2006). ……..on average student ratings (Griffin et al., 2014; Nulty, 2008; Spooren et al., 2013). …… evaluate SET scores (Boysen, 2015a, 2015b; Boysen et al., 2014; Dewar, 2011).
21. All literature mentioned in the text should be included in the "References List". A work that is not cited in the text should not be included in the reference list. The list of references should be given in alphabetical order and according to the author-date system. If two or more publications by the same author are used, the old publication should be given first in the References List. The first letter of each word of the book and book chapter's name must be capitalized. If the publications of an organization are published, they should be given with the publication number, if not, the name and city of the printing house where they were printed should be specified. The name of the journal in which the literature was published should be written clearly without abbreviation. The writing of the references should be 9 pt Times New Roman, the first line should be justified to the left, the following lines should be pulled in 1 cm (hanging). Examples of literature writing are given below. (Emerald's Harvard referencing style)

Dr. Yiorgos Gadanakis is an Associate Professor of Agricultural Business Management in the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development and a visiting academic at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania. His research focuses on the sustainable intensification of food production systems, agricultural theory of change, and innovation and entrepreneurship in agri-food systems. He has been involved in several EU-funded programs, most recently RECAP and ENVISION, which aimed to develop tools engaging farmers and stakeholders in an Earth Observation data-based platform. These tools facilitate decision-making, land management, and remote cross-compliance monitoring to support sustainable agricultural systems. In both projects, he coordinated the co-production of web-based services by developing a novel framework combining extreme programming and design thinking.

He has collaborated extensively with stakeholders across the agri-food sector, from farmers to policymakers and governmental bodies. Over the past five years, he has secured over £1 million in funding as a principal investigator or co-investigator from various research initiatives, including UKRI, Horizon Europe, EIT Food, and DEFRA. He serves as the principal investigator for the University of Reading in the Transforming UK Food Systems project, specifically “The UK Sustainable King Prawn Project.” This project focuses on Recirculating Aquaculture Systems powered by renewable energy technologies and incorporates circular economic principles at every stage. It aims to position the UK as a global leader in sustainable, land-based seafood production and to provide innovative diversification opportunities for UK agriculture.

Additionally, he is the co-investigator for the Climate-Smart Dairy project, which assesses challenges, innovations, and solutions for a more sustainable UK dairy sector. His work in this project focuses on identifying smart-dairy technologies and practices that are supported by consumers and farmers and deemed financially feasible by the UK government. His further research includes productivity and technical efficiency analysis of agricultural production systems and promoting technology adoption.

He also leads the Innovation and Entrepreneurship spine of the EIT Food Solutions program and the Food Solutions Challenge at the University of Reading. These initiatives bring together multi-disciplinary teams to tackle real-life industry challenges and develop innovative solutions for the food system. As part of these activities, he fosters strong relationships with companies in the agri-food sector across the EU, supporting the development of an innovative and sustainable agri-food ecosystem.

As an academic supervisor, he has supervised over five PhD students on the topics of land reform, labor economics, agricultural production efficiency, livestock sustainability, and improving farm sustainability performance.
