Prof. Dr. Berrin Erdağ is a senior scientist, academician, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of deep-rooted experience in molecular biology, genetics, and medical biotechnology. After graduating from Hacettepe University, Department of Biology in 1989, she obtained her master’s and doctoral degrees from Marmara University, Department of Medical Biology and Genetics. Prior to her academic tenure, she served as a Principal Researcher and Immunogenetics Laboratory Group Leader at the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institute between 1989 and 2020, where she led the establishment project of the Medical Biotechnology Center of Excellence and co-managed Turkey's first biosimilar drug development project. Currently, she concurrently serves as the Head of the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Molecular Medicine Master’s Program, and Coordinator of the Application and Research Centers (UYGAR) at Istanbul Aydın University (IAU). Driven by the vision of transferring academic knowledge into industry and localizing biotechnological pharmaceutical components, she acts as the General Manager of Senbio Biotechnology Limited Company, which she founded within IAU TEKMER. Her areas of expertise include antibody engineering, phage display technology, and the design and production of recombinant human antibody fragments (scFv, nanobodies). Within the scope of international bilateral collaborations, she focuses on antibody production in innovative expression systems such as Tetrahymena thermophila and the development of therapeutic antibody candidates like anti-CD19 and anti-VEGFR-2. Holding numerous international peer-reviewed publications (SCIE/ESCI) and patents, Prof. Dr. Erdağ continues to contribute to the scientific community and university-industry synergy as a principal investigator in various innovative biotechnology projects supported by TÜBİTAK and international funds.
He was born in Seben (Bolu). He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. In the same year, he started working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Food Hygiene and Technology at the same faculty. In 1991, he received his doctorate degree in the same field with his thesis titled "The Usability of Starter Cultures in Tulum Cheese". He was appointed Assistant Professor in the same department in 1992, Associate Professor in 1985, and Professor in 2001. In 2012, he started working at Istanbul Aydın University, Department of Food Engineering. In 2014, he was appointed as the founding head of the newly established Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, a position he held until 2025. He has conducted research on food science and technology, primarily focusing on food safety, food hygiene, and food microbiology, and has prepared numerous publications (articles, papers, books, etc.). He has served on various commissions related to his field at the Ministry of Agriculture (National Food Codex Commission), TÜBİTAK (TOVAG Advisory Board), and YÖK (UAK Associate Professorship Commission). He is the editor of the journal “AYDIN GASTRONOMY,” which started publication in 2017 and is indexed by TR DİZİN.

Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Faris Kocaman, İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Anadolu Bil Meslek Yüksekokulu bünyesinde görev yapmaktadır. Muhasebe, vergi uygulamaları ve dış ticaret alanlarında uzmanlaşmış olup DergiPark ve Google Akademik platformlarında yayınlanan sigortacılıkta iç kontrol sistemleri ve makroekonomik etkiler üzerine çalışmaları bulunmaktadır. Akademik kariyerinin yanı sıra üniversitede müdür yardımcılığı ve kulüp danışmanlığı gibi idari görevler de üstlenmiştir.
As Prof. Dr. Ebru BARDAŞ ÖZKAN, I continue my academic work in the field of health sciences and have specialized in basic sciences. Throughout my academic career, I have actively participated in education, research, and scientific publication activities, contributing to various scientific studies at national and international levels. My research interests are within the scope of basic sciences, and I conduct studies aimed at supporting scientific knowledge production and academic development. As a Web of Science Researcher, I am part of the international scientific publishing ecosystem, carrying out peer review, editorial evaluation, and scientific consultancy activities for various academic journals. I aim to contribute to the development of scientific research ethics, publication quality, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Kimya alanındaki lisans eğitimini İstanbul Üniversitesi'nde tamamladıktan sonra, yüksek lisans ve doktorasını biyokimya üzerine yapmıştır. Doktora sürecinde bitkisel kaynaklı polifenollerin antioksidan özellikleri üzerine yoğunlaşarak, bu bileşiklerin sağlık üzerindeki etkilerini araştırmıştır. Akademik kariyerine özel bir üniversitede öğretim üyesi olarak devam etmekte olup Gıda Mühendisliği bölümünde analitik kimya, organik kimya ve genel kimya dersleri vermektedir. Özellikle bitkilerde polifenolik bileşikler ve antioksidan içerik üzerine çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Enzim saflaştırma konusunda da araştırmaları bulunmaktadır.

Osman YILDIRIM was born in Kirsehir, TURKEY. After working for approximately 30 years in the Turkish Armed Forces, he retired with the rank of Colonel. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of BOGAZICI, Istanbul, in 1986 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Istanbul, Technical University, Istanbul, in 1994, He received his second PhD. Degree in business management, from Istanbul University, Istanbul, TURKEY in 2003. From 2006 to 2007, he was a Assistant Professor in Beykent University, Istanbul. He was associate professor at Istanbul Kultur University from 2007-2013. He is currently working with Istanbul Aydin University as the head of electrical electronics engineering department. He has international journal papers in both disciplines. He has been dealing with OHSAS for a long time by teaching the OHSAS training courses and giving consultancy in OHSAS to companies. He has both trainer certificate and consultant certificate which are accredited by Turkish Employee Ministry.
Prof. Dr Hamdi AYDIN graduated from the Faculty of Fisheries at Istanbul University in 1988. In the same year, he began his academic career as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Fisheries, Istanbul University, completing his master’s degree in 1992 and his PhD in 1995.
In 1996, he took up a post as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fisheries, Rize, at Karadeniz Technical University; in 2001, he was appointed to the Fisheries Programme at the Karamürsel Maritime Vocational School, Kocaeli University, and in 2005, to the Fisheries Programme at the Gazanfer Bilge Vocational School.
Prof. Dr Hamdi AYDIN was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and attained the rank of Professor in 2024. Throughout his academic career, he has held administrative positions such as Deputy Dean, Head of Department, Director of a Vocational School, Deputy Director of a Vocational School and Head of a Division.
He currently continues his academic work at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, Kocaeli University.

Prof. Dr. Mine Çardak is a faculty member in the Department of Fisheries Technology at the Çanakkale Faculty of Applied Sciences, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. She completed her PhD in Marine Biology at Istanbul University. Her research interests focus on marine microbiology, aquatic microbial ecology, bacterial diversity in marine environments, antibiotic and heavy metal resistance, water quality, food safety, and the environmental assessment of marine ecosystems. She has served as a researcher and principal investigator in national and international projects and has published scientific studies on marine bacteria, pathogenic microorganisms, bioindicator bacteria, and environmental pollution.
Dr. Assist. Prof. Aycan Baş graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Science, Department of Physics in 2008, and went on to receive her master’s (2011) and doctoral (2018) degrees from the Department of Biophysics at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. She began her academic career as a lecturer at Istanbul Aydın University between 2012 and 2014, and continued in the same role at Altınbaş University from 2014 to 2019. In 2019, she joined the Faculty of Medicine at Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University (AFSU) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biophysics, where she has also been serving as the head of the department since 2020. Focusing her primary research areas on biophysics, physics, audiology, and molecular biology, Dr. Aycan Baş continues to conduct scientific studies and publish academic articles at both national and international levels.
