The Journal of Ottoman Civilization Studies [JOCS] is a peer-reviewed, international journal that publishes authentic studies that aim to contribute to Ottoman History and Ottoman Civilization studies.
The Journal of Ottoman Civilization Studies [JOCS] is published twice a year, in April and October [2015-2022.]. As of 2023, it has started to be published four times a year: March, June, September, and December. Our journal includes Turkish and English scientific articles. If it is seen as necessary, the special issue(s) are published as well. The journal also publishes a promotion of scientific translation and books.
The authors who submit their articles to the journal are assumed to agree to give the journal their copyrights. The Journal of Ottoman Civilization Studies [JOCS] owns the publication rights to all accepted publications.
JOCS organizes or supports in-country or abroad academic conferences, symposiums, workshops, etc. It includes the full versions of the proclamations submitted in these studies only if it is not published elsewhere.

The article quota for the September and December 2024 issue of The Journal of Ottoman Civilization Studies is full.
Therefore, articles submitted after May 1, 2024, will be considered for 2025.

“Ali Kuşçu Zeyrek Academy Talks on the Occasion of the 550th Anniversary of his Death” program,
These events, organized by Fatih Municipality Zeyrek Academy and Istanbul Medeniyet University History of Science Institute in cooperation with Fatih Municipality Zeyrek Academy and Istanbul Medeniyet University History of Science Institute, will be held throughout 2024 to remind the legacy and scientific contributions of the great Islamic-Turkish scholar Ali Kuşçu and will address the traces left by Ali Kuşçu in a wide range of fields from philosophy of language to logic, natural philosophy to metaphysics, mathematics to astronomy. Under the guidance of İhsan Fazlıoğlu and with the participation of leading academics, Kuşçu's philosophy-science background will be examined in depth.
We invite everyone interested to participate in these in-depth discussions on the philosophy-science legacy of Ali Kuşçu, who said, “The most valuable of all blessings is knowledge.”-
