Halil ÇAKIR is an assistant professor at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University. He lectures at Reyhanlı Vocational School for Social Sciences on social work, social security and social structure. His PhD thesis was on “Comparison of Blue-Collar and White-Collar Retirement in the Context of the Sociology of Generations”(2021). His major fields of research are the sociology of generations, aging, social stratification, and the social philosophy of Max Weber and Karl Mannheim.
