Çeşm-i Cihan: Tarih Kültür ve Sanat Araştırmaları Dergisi is an international, peer-reviewed, scholarly, and open-access journal published by Bartın University. The journal aims to publish original, high-quality studies that contribute to scholarship in the social sciences and humanities.
The journal publishes original research articles in the fields of history, archaeology, anthropology, philosophy, art history, Turkish language and literature, Turkish language education, social studies education, fine arts education, and other related disciplines within the social sciences and humanities.
Çeşm-i Cihan is published electronically twice a year, in July and December. Manuscript submissions are accepted throughout the year. The issue in which an accepted manuscript will be published is determined according to the date on which its peer-review and editorial evaluation processes are completed.
The journal operates a double-blind peer-review system, under which the identities of the authors are not disclosed to the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors. Manuscripts submitted to the journal initially undergo a preliminary editorial review with regard to their alignment with the journal’s aim and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, scholarly quality, ethical declarations, and similarity score. Manuscripts that successfully pass the preliminary review are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
The publication processes of Çeşm-i Cihan are conducted in accordance with the principles of research and publication ethics, editorial independence, impartiality in peer review, transparency, academic integrity, open access, and the free circulation of scholarly knowledge. The journal takes into consideration national and international scholarly publishing standards, principles of publication ethics, and the evaluation criteria of relevant indexing and abstracting databases.
The authors bear full scholarly, ethical, legal, and linguistic responsibility for the content of their articles published in the journal.
Çeşm-i Cihan is committed to open-access publishing. All articles published in the journal are made freely available to readers immediately upon publication, without any access fee, subscription requirement, registration requirement, or embargo period.
