Our journal has taken a significant step forward in its publication life, beginning indexing in the international EBSCO - Central & Eastern European Academic Source full-text database as of 2024.

Çankırı Karatekin University Journal of the Faculty of Letters (KAREFAD) (ISSN: 2147-8465 - e-ISSN 2791-9773) is a publication of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Çankırı Karatekin University. KAREFAD is an internationally refereed journal published online twice a year (April and October). KAREFAD publishes original scientific (refereed) articles, opinions, reader letters, promotional articles, translations, news, and meeting announcements in Turkish and English that explore research, examine problems, and propose solutions in the social sciences and humanities in Turkey and globally. KAREFAD uses an open access publishing model. No fees are charged for articles, presentations, or translations submitted for publication in the journal.
Manuscripts submitted to the journal are reviewed by the Editorial Board and the Manuscript Evaluation Board. After the editorial process, articles subject to the scientific section are subject to a double-blind peer-review process. Articles subject to other sections are subject to the editorial board's evaluation. The author(s) are responsible for the thoughts and opinions expressed in the articles. The opinions expressed in the articles do not constitute the opinion of KAREFAD.
KAREFAD will be indexed in the ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities) full-text database by 2025, and in the EBSCO - Central & Eastern European Academic Source full-text database by 2024. The evaluation process for ULAKBİM TR-INDEX applications is ongoing.
Articles submitted to KAREFAD are subject to preliminary verification with iThenticate, and those detected for plagiarism or those with more than 20% similarity are rejected directly upon editorial review.
