A Study on AI-Related Anxiety among Pre-Service Teachers

Öz

This study aimed to examine the AI anxiety levels of pre-service teachers in terms of variables such as gender, department, daily internet usage time and whether they follow news about AI. A total of 132 pre-service teachers from a state university participated in the study and survey model was preferred. As a result, it was found that the participants' AI anxiety levels were at a moderate level, women's AI anxiety levels were higher than men's, the highest average was in the department of classroom teaching and the lowest average was in the department of guidance and psychological counselling, the average of those who used the internet for 7 hours and more was the lowest and the average of those who used it for 3-5 hours was the highest, whether or not to follow the news about artificial intelligence did not affect the level of anxiety, and in the end, no significant difference was found in terms of all variables.
