Bio
Özkal Özsoy is Assoc. Professor of Industrial Design at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, Istanbul. Studied at Istanbul Technical University, Bosphorus University and Mimar Sinan University, receiving a msc degree on electronics-communications engineering and a PhD degree on industrial design. While studying he also worked in private sector as designer and engineer (1993-2008), designed over 100 products which are still being sold worldwide. For a short term he ran his own company to design and produce solar energy products, lighting appliances, robotic kits etc (2009). He has been teaching electromechanics to industrial design students of MSGSU since 2009.
