Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Journal of Science publishes original articles, review articles, research articles, technical notes and editorial letters in all areas related to engineering and science.

RULES FOR AUTHORS TO FOLLOW
Author (s) must prepare their articles in line with the journal publishing rules and with sensitivity to ethical rules.
Manuscripts that are not sent by the rules are not evaluated until they are made according to the rules.
The author (s) can follow the process related to the articles accepted for evaluation through the username and password sent to them from the website of the journal.
The author (s) sent to the referee with a request for correction as a result of the referee evaluation must send their corrections within 1 month.
The articles of the author (s) who have not responded during this period are excluded from the evaluation.
The author (s) must update their work in line with the referees' suggestions and opinions.
If they do not find any changes or additions proposed by the referee to be correct, they must notify this to the Editorial Board along with their reasoning, to be forwarded to the referee.
For articles in the evaluation phase, the author (s) may request to withdraw their work by e-mail, letter, or fax.
The acceptance of the withdrawal request is subject to the decision of the Editorial Board. The author (s) cannot send, publish, or publish the article to be evaluated elsewhere for which the Editorial Board has not approved the withdrawal request.
For those who make such attempts, necessary notification is made to the institution to which the author (s) is affiliated and the relevant broadcasting institution.
The posts for control and correction, which will be sent to the author (s) during the layout work, are not answered within the specified periods. The articles of the author (s) who do not respond within the specified times are postponed to be evaluated in the next issue.
The author (s) 's requests for any reason to put the publishing process forward of their articles are not accepted.
No articles are accepted for a certain number in Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Journal of Science.
Author (s) can submit his article at any time. Articles whose evaluation process is completed are published considering the date of arrival.
The articles that have been prepared and sent by the rules of publication are processed after the necessary examinations are made.
Applications that do not comply with the rules will not be processed.
The author (s) only need to send the articles sent to them for correction in electronic form.
After the layout work of the articles decided by the Editorial Board to be published, the article is sent to the author (s) for the last time for possible errors.
The authors are obliged to make the control within the specified time. If the control is not carried out within the specified period, the article is postponed to the next issue.
Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Articles submitted to be published in Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Journal of Science are subjected to double-blind peer review by at least three referees. Articles accepted by at least two referees are prepared for publication. In detecting plagiarism, it is confirmed that the articles have not been published before and do not contain plagiarism through the program called Turnitin / Ithenticate. The maximum plagiarism rate has been determined as 24%, and this value can be changed by the editorial board.

Dr. ARSLAN obtained his B.Sc degree from Karadeniz Technical University in 2002. He obtained his M.Sc. degree from Dumlpinar University in 2005 and his Ph.D degree from Osmangazi University in 2008. He is still pursuing his career as a professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Bilecik University. He lectured courses such as Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Building Installations at B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels. He supervised many M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis. He published several papers on energy-exergy analysis, energy economics, fluid flows, combustion, and Renewable energy technologies.
Bülent ÇETİN; Atatürk Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Gıda Mühendisliği Bölümünde Profesör olarak çalışmaktadır. Lisans ve Lisansüstü eğitimini Atatürk Üniversitesinde tamamlamıştır. Çalışma alanları probiyotik, starter ve patojenler gibi farklı özelliklerdeki mikroorganizmaların izolasyon tanı ve karakterizasyonu üzerinde yoğunlaşmıştır. Bu amaçla bakteri, maya, küf ve bakteriyofaj gibi farklı mikroorganizma grupları çalışılmıştır. Çalışmalarda ayrıca, elde edilen izolatlardan uygun özelliklerde bulunan suşları ile model gıdalarda starter kültür ve probiyotik ürünlerin üretimi gerçekleştirilmiş ve depolama sürecinde kalite özellikleri incelenmiştir.
Doç. Dr. Sinan Temel, Bilecik Şeyh Edebali Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Fizik Bölümünde görev yapan bir akademisyendir. Lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora eğitimlerini Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Fizik Bölümünde tamamlamıştır. Doktora tezini "(MgO)x(ZnO)1-x ince filmlerinin üretimi ve karakterizasyonu" üzerine yapmıştır.
Akademik kariyerine 2011 yılında araştırma laboratuvarında uzman olarak başlayan Temel, 2015 yılında Dr. Öğr. Üyesi, 2021 yılında ise Doçent unvanını almıştır. Aynı zamanda üniversitesinde Senato Üyeliği, MYO Müdürlüğü ve Merkez Müdürlükleri gibi çeşitli idari görevlerde de bulunmuştur.
Çalışma alanları; fizik, malzeme bilimi, mikroelektronik, ince filmler, nanoyapılar, optik ve elektriksel özellikler, ve yoğun madde spektroskopisi gibi konuları kapsamaktadır.
Akademik kariyerinde birçok SCI kapsamındaki dergide yayınları, kitap bölümleri, tez danışmanlıkları ve desteklenen araştırma projeleri yer almaktadır. Ayrıca, 2007 yılında Balkan Physical Union tarafından düzenlenen bir fizik proje yarışmasında üçüncülük ödülü almıştır.
Over 17 years’ experience in RDI, having a PhD in Agronomy since 2013. The area of expertise includes the identification and quantification of physico-chemical compounds in bioresources, with applications in the fields of agriculture, energy, and environment.
Technical skills and competences:
-Using chemical analysis equipment/tools (UV / VIS, TLC) and physical chemistry (determination of unit refraction index, optical microscopes, viscometers, density meters, etc.) - the skills gained in the research projects in which I was involved;
- Using analytical methods for both inorganic analysis using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), MPA FT-NIR;
- The use of process equipment: installation of extraction–microwave-assisted extraction, pressurized fluid extraction, supercritical fluid extraction/distillation, fractionation/separation.
I have coordinated two transnational projects as a project partner from Romania (AlgaeBrew and HaloSYS), and I have been involved in more than 10 international and 20 national projects.
About the publications, I am a co-author for two books (national) and three electronic manuals (international), and more than 20 scientific articles.
Regarding awards, I have over 15 awards at the Invention and Innovation Salons, both as an author and as a co-author.
Dr. Emre Dandıl is the Associate Professor at Bilecik Seyh Edebali University, Department of Computer Engineering. He joined as a lecturer the Bilecik Seyh Edebali University in 2010, having previously taught at Ministry of Education for 3 years.
Dandıl's research and teaching focus on artificial intelligence, image processing, pattern recognition, biomedical, machine learning, computer-aided detection, medical informatics, data mining, and computer vision.
Dandıl studied Electronic and Computer Sciences as an undergraduate and earned an M.Sc. at Suleyman Demirel University. He is PhD in Computer Engineering at the University of Sakarya.
Dr. Dandıl also visited the Center for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT), Institute of Electronics, Communication & Information Technology (ECIT) at Queen's University Belfast (UK) to research Postdoctoral study as a Visiting Researcher in 2016-2017. He has studied there in a project relating foetal movement detection on US scans.

Doç. Dr. Nihal Şimşek Özek, Ankara Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Biyoloji Bölümü’nden 2001 yılında lisans derecesini almıştır. Yüksek lisans (2004–2007) ve doktora (2007–2015) eğitimlerini Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Biyoloji Bölümü’nde tamamlamıştır. Uzmanlık alanı biyofizik olup, moleküler biyofizik, biyolojik spektroskopi ve yaşam bilimleri konularında çalışmalar yürütmektedir.
2004–2016 yılları arasında ODTÜ’de araştırma görevlisi olarak görev yapan Dr. Şimşek Özek, 2016 yılından itibaren Atatürk Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Biyoloji Bölümü’nde, 2017 yılından beri Atatürk Üniversitesi Doğu Anadolu Yüksek Teknoloji Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi (DAYTAM)’nde akademik kariyerine devam etmektedir. Aynı zamanda 2019-2024 yılları arasında Atatürk Üniversitesi Doğu Anadolu Yüksek Teknoloji Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi (DAYTAM) Müdür Yardımcılığı görevini sürdürmüştür.
Yurt içi ve yurt dışı çok sayıda bilimsel projede yürütücü ve araştırmacı olarak yer alan Dr. Şimşek Özek’in araştırmaları, yüzey zenginleştirilmiş Raman spektroskopisi (SERS), FTIR spektroskopisi ve sitotoksisite analizleri gibi ileri biyofizik teknikleri içermektedir. Kendisi, özellikle doğal bileşiklerin kanser hücreleri üzerindeki etkileri ve toksikolojik biyobelirteçlerin belirlenmesi konularına odaklanmaktadır.
Uluslararası indeksli (SCI, SSCI) dergilerde yayımlanmış 100’ün üzerinde bilimsel yayına ve pek çok kongre bildirisinde katkısı bulunan Dr. Şimşek Özek’in Scopus ve Web of Science veritabanlarına göre sırasıyla 14 ve 13 H-indeksine sahiptir. ORCID ID’si: 0000-0002-7326-5670’dir.
Bilimsel yayın faaliyetleri kapsamında “Turkish Journal of Zoology” dergisinde editörler kurulu üyeliği yapmıştır. Ayrıca, spektroskopi tekniklerinin adli tıp, toksikoloji, doku mühendisliği ve çevre biyoteknolojisi gibi disiplinler arası alanlardaki uygulamaları konusunda literatüre önemli katkılar sağlamıştır.
Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi, Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi, Fizik Bölümü’nden 2000 yılında mezun oldum. Yüksek lisans ve doktora eğitimimi de aynı anabilim dalında tamamladım. Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Bölümünde, Öğretim Üyesi olarak çalışmaktayım.
Doç. Dr.Deniz Türköz Altuğ
He graduated from Selcuk University, Department of Geodesy and Photogrammetry Engineering in 2009. He completed her master education in 2013 at Selcuk University, and Phd education in 2018 at Konya Technical University. Since 2023, he has been working as an associate professor in Konya Technical University. He started to work as Assistant Professor at Konya Technical University, Geomatics Engineering Department in 2021. Since 2021, he has been working as an assistant professor at Konya Technical University. His areas of expertise are GNSS, Noise Analysis, Deformation Anaylsis, Calibration of EDM, Programming and artificial neural networks.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burçin Atılgan Türkmen is an academic who is affiliated with Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. After graduating from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Department of Chemical Engineering in 2008, she completed both her master and doctoral studies at the University of Manchester in 2016.
During her doctoral studies, she delved into a critical area of research, focusing on the assessment of the sustainability of current and future electricity options for Türkiye. This research is particularly significant given the global concern for sustainable energy solutions and the pressing need for a greener and more sustainable approach.
Ms. Atılgan Türkmen actively teaches at the university and her areas of expertise are reflected in the courses she imparts at the university, which encompass Sustainable Development and Industry, Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Systems, Quality, Environment and Safety, Sustainable Production Systems, as well as Sustainability and Engineering.

Dr. Gamzenur Özsin graduated from Anadolu University in 2008 with bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering and Business Administration. After completing her M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU), she began working as a research assistant at Anadolu University. During her doctoral studies, she served as a visiting researcher at Kyushu University in Japan. Upon completing her Ph.D., she joined the Faculty of Engineering at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University as a faculty member in 2017. She later conducted her postdoctoral research at Imperial College London in the United Kingdom, where she worked as a Research Associate. Dr. Özsin is currently serving in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University and has also delivered guest lectures at Anadolu University and Eskişehir Technical University. Her research interests include the kinetic and thermodynamic modeling of thermochemical conversion processes such as pyrolysis, carbonization, and oxidation; the synthesis and applications of carbon-based materials and composites for environmental and energy storage technologies; and material characterization studies.
Dr Ertugrul works as an Assoc. Prof. of Biosystems Engineering at Kirsehir Ahi Evran University and, serves as Vice Dean of Faculty of Agriculture. He chairs the Div. of Agricultural Energy Systems and formerly was Assoc. Director of the Grad. School of Natural&Applied Sciences. His research focuses on farming technologies, WEF Nexus and OHS; he also teaches grad-undergrad courses.
