Aim
The aim of the GAUN-JES is to follow the latest developments and increases the quality of the work done in the field of education and science in Türkiye; to provide an environment of equal opportunity that allows academicians working at different universities to publish academic publications; to support theoretical and research-oriented studies; to increase the quality of research and to encourage mutual sharing of national and international academic research
GAUN-JES is an open access journal that works for the free movement and dissemination of information.
Although GAUN-JES is a multidisciplinary publication to which academicians contribute to a large extent, it also encourages publications from students who are experts in their field or who do postgraduate studies.

Author Guidelines
1. The authors can download a Word file in accordance with the format of our journal by clicking on the attached file and format their articles according to the style in this file.
2. Use this template to inform the referees of the adjustments to be made after the referee feedback.
3. When the authors upload the article to the journal, it is assumed that they have accepted the points stated in the Editorial Policy. Also, they also do not need to upload a Copyright Transfer Form.
4. The articles that do not meet the publication and grammar rules are directly rejected.
5. Dear authors, when you submit your article to Dergipark, the author order you enter will be the same author order that will take place and cite after the acceptance of the publication. Please make your choices accordingly. GAUN-JES accepts system data; the changes requests to be made in this regard will not be accepted.

Manuscripts should be uploaded to the system in accordance with the template containing the writing rules, without author names and information.
By uploading the manuscripts to the journal, the author;
- is considered that they have accepted that Gaziantep University Journal of Educational Sciences and Editorial Board does not have the responsibility for the content, results, information, findings and comments of each article uploaded to the journal.
- accept that the article is original and all authors has participated in the work individually; that it has not send to any other journal for publication and has not published before; that the text, figures and documents in the study do not violate the copyrights of other persons.
Extended Abstract
Since our journal is in the application process for being abstracted and indexed in international indexes, it requires 750-1000 words abstract.
Ethics Committee Approval
An Ethics Committee Approval document must be submitted for the articles to be uploaded to the journal system. TR Index has added some items on the ethical rules to its 2020 standards.
1. Ethics Committee Approval and/or Legal/Special Permission is required for all kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants through survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment and interview techniques.
2. The articles must state whether an ethical committee approval and/or legal/special permission is required or not. If these approvals are required, then it should be clearly presented from which institution, on what date and with which decision or number these approvals are obtained.
3. If the study involves the use of human or animal subjects, then it must be stated that the study has been carried out in accordance with the standards in the international declaration, guidance, etc.
About plagiarism
Authors must submit the similary report of their manuscripts during the submission phase for Gaziantep University Journal of Educational Sciences.
Price Policy
No fee is charged from the authors for the articles submitted to our journal.
All of the articles published in our journal are subject to open access, free of charge for authors and readers.

Eğitim yönetimi, okul geliştirme, pozitif örgütsel davranış, nitel araştırma
İlk ve orta öğretimini Gaziantep’de Yüksek öğrenimini ise (1995) Erzurum Atatürk Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümünde tamamladı. (1998) Yüksek Lisans çalışmasını aynı bölümde Yeni Türk Edebiyatı alanında; doktora eğitimini ise (2010) Dicle Üniversitesi Ziya Gökalp Eğitim Fakültesinde Türk Edebiyatı Eğitimi alanında yaptı. Aynı Yıl Yardımcı Doçent unvanlını aldı. 2011-2012 yıllarında Arizona Üniversitesinde (ABD) çocuk edebiyatı alanında post doktora çalışmasında bulundu. 2018’de Doçent, 2024’de Profesörlük unvanını aldı. Üniversitelerde birçok idari görevlerde bulunan Kaya halen Gaziantep Üniversitesi Gaziantep Eğitim Fakültesi Türkçe ve Sosyal Bilimler Bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmaktadır.
Ölçme ve değerlendirme, test geliştirme
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şükrü Bellibaş, Eğitim Bilimleri alanında lisans eğitimini İstanbul Üniversitesinde (2009), Eğitim Yönetimi alanında doktora eğitimini Michigan State Üniversitesinde (2014) tamamladı. Adıyaman Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Eğitim Bilimleri Bölümüne 2015 yılında Yardımcı Doçent olarak atanan Bellibaş, 2017 yılında Eğitim Yönetimi alanında Doçent, 2024 yılında Profesör oldu. Hâlen Sharjah Üniversitesinde görev yapan Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şükrü Bellibaş'ın saygın ulusal ve uluslararası dizinlerde taranan dergilerde 50'den fazla yayımlanmış çok sayıda makalesi mevcuttur. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şükrü Bellibaş'ın araştırma alanı eğitim yönetimidir.
Dr Sedat Gümüş is an Associate Professor at the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership and a Research Fellow of the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change at the EdUHK. Before moving to Hong Kong, he was an associate professor at Aarhus University, Denmark. He has published articles in core international journals of the field such as Educational Management Administration and Leadership, Educational Administration Quarterly, School Effectiveness and School Improvement, Journal of Educational Administration, and School Management & Leadership as well as in other high impact journals such as Compare, European Journal of Education, Educational Studies, Higher Education, Scientometrics, and Teaching and Teacher Education. He currently serves on the advisory board of Rowman & Littlefield School Leadership Book Series, as well as undertakes editorial responsibilities in several academic journals.
Emrah Cinkara, Ph.D., is a Professor at Gaziantep University, Department of Foreign Languages Education, with a career marked by innovative research in English Language Teaching (ELT). Holding a Ph.D. from Çukurova University, his doctoral research employed eye-tracking technology to explore pronoun resolution among Turkish learners of English. Prof. Cinkara's academic roots trace back to Middle East Technical University for his Bachelor's, and Gaziantep University for his Master's, where his thesis investigated the interplay between self-efficacy and success in EFL. His scholarly contributions include extensive publications in peer-reviewed journals and leadership in national and international ELT projects, emphasizing the integration of technology in language learning. As a recognized leader in ELT, Dr. Cinkara has served as the Principal of the School of Foreign Languages at Gaziantep University and managed its Distance Education Application and Research Center. His work has significantly centered around ELT pedagogy and assessment, earning him accolades such as TÜBİTAK publication incentives. Prof. Cinkara’s global perspective is enhanced by his experience as a Visiting Researcher at The Open University, underscoring his commitment to advancing ELT through innovation and research.
Yuyun Yulia is a faculty member in the English Language Education Department, Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). Her research focuses on English language teaching in foreign language contexts, curriculum development, discourse studies, evaluation research, and English for young learners. She earned her Doctorate from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, in 2014, where her dissertation examined the evaluation of English language teaching across 12 Indonesian junior high schools. Her findings highlighted gaps between national education policies and classroom practices in Indonesian schools. Beyond her academic work, Dr. Yulia has served as an assessor for junior and senior high schools, and as a mentor in the teacher certification program in Yogyakarta as well as reviewer of lecturer workload and article for publication in national accredited journals. She is also an active contributor to national and international seminars, workshops, and training programs.

Doç. Dr. Ahmet Göçen akademik olarak öğretmenlerde anlam ve motivasyon üzerine çalışmalara odaklanmış olup yapay zeka ve etik gibi disiplinerarası çalışmalarda da yer almaktadır. Eğitim hayatında hem öğretmenler hem de yöneticilere yönelik programlar tasarlayan Ahmet Göçen, aynı zamanda öğretim teknolojileri alanında çeşitli ulusal ve uluslararası projelerde yer almaktadır.

Marmara Üniversitesi Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi Kimya Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalında görev yapmaktadır. Lisans öğrenimini Marmara Üniversitesi Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi Kimya Öğretmenliği Anabilim dalında tamamladı. Yüksek Lisans öğrenimini İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Kimya bölümünde tamamladı. Doktorasını Leeds Üniversitesi’nde “Çözünme ve Çözünürlük konusunda “kavramsal anlamayı sağlama” noktasında gerçekleştirdi. Temel çalışma alanlarından bazıları, yapılandırmacı öğrenme anlayışı, yapılandırmacık temelindeki öğretim stratejileri, kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesi, kavram karikatürleri, kimya/fen ders kitaplarıdır, alternatif ölçme yöntemleri, fen ve kimya eğitiminde bilimsel projeler. Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’nın lise kimya, üstün yeteneklilerde fen ve kimya müfredat geliştirme komisyonlarında yer almıştır. TÜBİTAK BİDEB kurul üyesi ve Türk Kimya Derneği yönetim kurulu üyesidir.
1988 yılında Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, Buca Eğitim Fakültesi Tarih Öğretmenliğinden mezun; aynı üniversitenin İnkılap Tarihi Enstitüsünden "Öğretim Programı ve Ders Kitapları Açısından Türkiye'deki Tarih Öğretimi" adlı tez ile mezun oldu. 1995-1999 yılları arasında YÖK-Dünya Bankası Milli Eğitimi Geliştirme Projesi çerçevesinde Leeds Üniversitesinde EdD doktora programına devam etti ve "A Comparison Between English and Turkish History Textbooks: Design, Construction and Usability Issues adlı teziyle mezun oldu. Çalışma alanları; kanıt temelli öğrenme, empati, ders kitapları, öğrenme kuramları/yöntemleri, eylem araştırmasıdır.
Yabancı Dil Eğitimi
My main research interest is multiple-choice items and test development. I focus on the influence of item writing techniques on item validity and reliability. I am also interested in the study of supplementary education. I explore causes and outcomes of private tutoring by using nationally representative data in Turkey, drawn from Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) made available by OECD. I specialize in advanced quantitative methods and large datasets.
2006 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği programından mezun oldum. Aynı yıl M.E.B. tarafından ölçme ve değerlendirme alanında lisansüstü öğrenim görmek üzere Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’ne gönderildim. 2010 yılında University of Georgia’da Research, Evaluation, Measurement & Statistics programından yüksek lisans derecesiyle mezun oldum. Aynı üniversiteden 2014 yılında “Karma Madde Tepki Kuramı Modellerinin Normal Dağılım İhlaline Karşı Direnci” konulu tezimle doktora derecesini almaya hak kazandım. 2014 yılında Harran Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Eğitim Bilimleri Bölümü’nde öğretim görevlisi olarak göreve başladım. Mart 2015-Kasım 2019 tarihine kadar Harran Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Eğitim Bilimleri Bölümü, Eğitimde Ölçme ve Değerlendirme Anabilim Dalı’nda doktor öğretim üyesi olarak çalıştım. 2019 Kasım ayı itibariyle Eğitimde Ölçme ve Değerlendirme alanında doçentlik unvanını almış bulunmaktayım. Çalışma alanlarım arasında madde tepki kuramı, çok düzeyli modeller, meta-analiz, yapısal eşitlik modellemesi ve katma-değerli değerlendirme modelleri gibi konular yer almaktadır.

Dr. Hatice YILDIZ DURAK lisans ve Yüksek Lisans eğitimlerini Hacettepe Üniversitesinde, doktora eğitimini de Gazi Üniversitesinde tamamlamıştır. Dr. YILDIZ DURAK Necmettin Erbakan Üniversitesinde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır. Dr. YILDIZ DURAK’ın çalışma alanları eğitim teknolojileri, üstün yetenekli öğrenciler, üstün yetenekli öğrencilere erken yaşta programlama eğitimi, problemli teknoloji kullanımı ve öğretmen ve öğretmen adaylarının teknolojik alandaki mesleki gelişimleri konularından oluşmaktadır.
