Bio
Scholar of Comparative Literature, Japanese Literature, translator. He obtained his PhD from Tokyo University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. In his dissertation under the supervision of literary theorist and critic Prof. Komori Yoichi (小森陽一) he analyzed the reception of contemporary World Literature in Ōe Kenzaburō through Saidian Postcolonialism and Sartrean AntiColonialism. He also published several articles on Ōe, and wrote a comprehensive commentary for Ōe Kenzaburō Collected Novels (Kodansha) . His current research interests include robinsonades, children's literature, mortal illness discourse, Kobayashi Takiji and postcolonial cultural studies. He translated the works of Kojin Karatani, Kobo Abe, Takiji Kobayashi, Natsuki Ikezawa and Yuichi Seirai into Turkish.
