Senem Akkoç obtained her Bachelor Degree from Bülent Ecevit (Zonguldak Karaelmas) University in 2009. She completed her master degree on the synthesis and properties of N-heterocyclic salts at the Inonu University in 2011-2012. She made Ph.D. in Erciyes University about synthesis, characterization and in vitro cytotoxic activity of benzimidazolium salts under the supervision of Prof. Dr. İlhan Özer İlhan. She had been in the University of Sydney (Australia) as a visiting scientist from 2015 to 2016. She is currently working in the Suleyman Demirel University as Associate Professor. She has published more than 90 peer review papers in reputed journals and 8 patents.
