• Journal of Apitherapy and Nature (JAN) is the official publication of the “Apitherapy and Nature Research Group” established within Karadeniz Technical University.
• As of 2026, the journal has adopted a Continuous Publication model, whereby manuscripts that complete the peer review process and are accepted are published online without delay. The journal continues to organize its issues twice a year, in June and December.
• The journal’s manuscript template and author guidelines have been updated. Authors are advised not to use previously published articles in earlier issues of the journal as a reference and to prepare their manuscripts using the current template.
• The journal has established a policy regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies to ensure transparency, accountability, and academic integrity. For detailed information: Click here!
• The similarity index of submitted manuscripts must not exceed 25% in total, including publications derived from the author’s own thesis and/or project reports, and must not exceed 5% from a single source. Similarity reports are generated by the system during the initial submission process.
• The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and letters to the editor. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process.
Journal of Apitherapy and Nature (JAN) welcomes contributions from researchers, scientists, and professionals working in the fields of apitherapy, natural products, pharmacology, biotechnology, food science, and environmental sciences. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following research areas:
