(ENG) Ahmet Albayrak born in 1982, graduated from Erciyes University Faculty of Fine Arts 2003. He completed his master's degree in 2005 and then in 2008 a PhD at Marmara University Institute of Fine Arts. Albayrak who lives and works in Kayseri since 2009 (after Istanbul) received awards from ongoing activities organized in various cities and joined exhibitions in some museums and biennials. In addition to the Istanbul Modern, University of Cambridge and MMOMA (Moscow Museum of Modern Art) his artworks were exhibited in various countries such as United Kingdom, Germany, France, South Korea, The Netherlands, Mexico and Russia. He is former resident artist of the Cite Internationale Des Arts, Paris and New York School of Visual Arts-SVA. He is currently professor at Erciyes University. ******** ******** ******** ******** ******** ******** (TR) 1982 Kayseri doğumlu Prof. Ahmet Albayrak, 2003 yılında Erciyes Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Resim Bölümü’nden fakülte birincisi olarak mezun oldu. 2005 yılında yüksek lisansını, 2008 yılında doktorasını Marmara Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Enstitüsü Resim Anasanat dalında tamamladı. 2009 yılından bu yana Kayseri’de yaşayan, akademik ve sanatsal çalışmalarına burada devam eden Albayrak, Paris ve New York başta olmak üzere çeşitli kentlerde düzenlenen etkinliklere katıldı ve çeşitli ödüller aldı. 2013 yılında, Paris’te, Cite Des Arts’ta misafir sanatçı olarak Türkiye stüdyosunda çalışmalar gerçekleştirdi. 2016 yılında ise New York’ta School of Visual Art’ın davetli misafir sanatçısı oldu ve New York’ta ürettiği resimlerinden oluşan “Anemotaxis” adlı solo bir sergi gerçekleştirdi. Eserleri İstanbul Modern, Proje4L Çağdaş Sanat Müzesi, MMOMA (Moskova Modern Sanatlar Müzesi) ve Cambridge Üniversitesi’nin yanı sıra İngiltere, Almanya, Fransa, Güney Kore, Hollanda, Meksika, Rusya gibi çeşitli ülkelerde sergilendi. T.C. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı'ndan 4 defa ödül aldı. Erciyes Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi’nde stüdyo derslerine girmekte olup Mimarlık Fakültesi’nde sanat ve mimarlık alanında dersler de vermiştir. Aynı zamanda T.C. Merkez Bankası’nın sanat danışmanlığını yürütmüş, Dışişleri Bakanlığı Diplomasi Akademisi'nde dersler vermiştir. 2021 yılında TRT'ye yönetim kurulu başkanı olarak atanmıştır.

Ahmet Tanhan received his PhD in counseling and counselor education at University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNC Greensboro; Greensboro, North Carolina, USA), his Master of Science (MS) in Clinical (Community) Mental Health at University of Rochester (UR, Rochester, New York, USA), and his BS in counseling at Ege University (Izmir, Turkey). He is currently working with the following institutions Economic and Social Research Center – ESAM (Ankara, Turkey), Department of Counseling at University of North Carolina at Greensboro (North Carolina, USA) and Adiyaman University (Adiyaman, Turkey); Institute for Muslim Mental Health (Michigan, USA); Association for Contextual Behavioral Sciences, Turkey Chapter (Istanbul, Turkey). Ahmet is interested in how to mental health services to enhance wellbeing at individual, group and community levels. He is interested both in positive psychology and psychopathology. He recently has focused more on the use of Online Photovoice (OPV) in many diverse topics and majors. Additionally, he has been working on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Process-Based Therapy (PBT).

Anadolu Üniversitesi İletişim Bilimleri Fakültesi Sinema Televizyon bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra bir süre TRT’de çalıştı. 1998 yılında mezun olduğu bölümde Araştırma Görevlisi olarak çalışmaya başladı. Yüksek lisans ve doktora derecelerini Anadolu Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nden aldı. 18 yıl Uluslararası Eskişehir Film Festivali’nde Yürütme Kurulu Üyeliği ve Başkan Yardımcılığı görevini üstlendi. Anadolu Üniversitesi Sinema Kültürünü Geliştirme Birimi Yönetim Kurulu üyesi olarak görev yaptı. TRT, TVA ve TRT Okul için çeşitli televizyon programlarında yönetmenlik yaptı. Sinema ve Televizyon Bölüm Başkan Yardımcılığı görevini üstlendi. Bazı Açıköğretim kitaplarında bölüm yazarı ve editör olarak görev yaptı. Sobe: Çocuklara Dair Büyükler İçin Medya Okumaları ve Bir Meçhul Âleme Giderken Sinema Farklı Okumalarla Bir Film: Seni Buldum Ya! kitaplarının editörlüğünü, Çocuk Filmlerine Hak Temelli Yaklaşım kitabının yazarlığını üstlendi. Ulusal ve uluslararası toplantılarda sunulmuş bildirileri, ulusal ve uluslararası dergilerde yayınlanmış makaleleri, kitap bölümleri, kitap editörlükleri, bir kişisel video art sergisi bulunmaktadır. Uluslararası konferansların bilimsel komitelerinde başkanlıkları, hakemlikleri, çocuk hakları ve medya okuryazarlığı ile ilgili etkinliklerde atölye çalışmaları, jüri üyelikleri, danışmanlık ve eğitimleri bulunmaktadır. Sinema Kültürüne Katkı Ödülleri kapsamında “En İyi Sinema Makalesi” ödülünü, ABD’de uluslararası bir sempozyumda “En İyi Bildiri” ödülünü almıştır. Ağırlıklı akademik çalışma alanları çocuk ve medyadır. Halen Anadolu Üniversitesi Sinema ve Televizyon Bölümü’nde çalışmakta, Çocuk ve İletişim, Yaşlı ile İletişim, Etkili İletişim Becerileri, Etkileşimli Medya ve Toplum, Film Eleştiri, Film Kuramları gibi ön lisans, lisans ve lisans üstü düzeyde dersler vermektedir.

Dr. Halil ŞENGÜL began his undergraduate studies at Karadeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He transferred to Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 1985 and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989.

He completed his specialist training at the Child Health and Diseases Clinic of Haseki Training and Research Hospital, University of Health Sciences, between 1994 and 1998.

Between 1998 and 2002, he held various positions in private healthcare institutions and began working as a specialist physician at the Child Health and Diseases Clinic of Haseki Training and Research Hospital in 2002. That same year, he was appointed Deputy Chief Physician and held this position until 2014.

He continued his academic career in 2015 as Head of the Department of Hospital Management at Beykent University's Faculty of Health Sciences. In 2016, he assumed the roles of Head of the Department of Health Management and Department Head at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University's Faculty of Health Sciences. He resigned from his administrative duties in 2019 and continued his academic work as an Assistant Professor. He became an Associate Professor in Health Management in 2021 and was reappointed as Head of the Department and Department Head of Health Management in 2022.
In addition to his academic work, he completed the Sociology Undergraduate Program at Istanbul University between 2016 and 2020 and the Health Management Doctorate Program at Medipol University in 2022. While working at Haseki Training and Research Hospital, he served as a Quality Auditor for the Ministry of Health, conducting quality assessments in numerous public, private, and university hospitals. He currently serves as an assessor for TÜSKA (Turkish Institute for Healthcare Quality and Accreditation). Associate Professor Dr. Halil ŞENGÜL, who has published numerous national and international articles, proceedings, and book chapters in his field, currently serves as the Head of the Department of Health Management and Department Chair at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.

Prof. Dr. Ramazan Erdem received his bachelor's degree in 1994, his master's degree in 1997, and his doctorate in 2003 in Health Management from Hacettepe University (Türkiye). In 2009, he became an Associate Professor in Management and Organization, and in 2014, he was promoted to Professor. Since 2009, he has been a faculty member and head of the Department of Health Management in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Süleyman Demirel University. Prof. Erdem is a member of the Health Administrators Association, the European Union Health Research Center (ABSAM), the International Strategic Health Research Center (USSAM), and the Medical Decision Science Association of Taiwan (MEDSAT). Additionally, he has served on the Board of the Institute for Turkish Health Policy Studies since 2017. His main research interests include critical management and medical studies, health sociology, and the impact of global warming and climate change on healthcare. He holds leadership roles in several academic initiatives, including founding the Workshop of Critical Perspectives in Management (2017) and the Workshop of Health Sociology (2020). Currently, he directs the Thematic Research Group on Global Warming, Climate Change, and Healthcare Services, focusing on sustainable healthcare solutions in response to environmental challenges.

Modern Turkish Literature in Turkiye Field

Ömer DEMİRBİLEK was born in 1995 in Sorgun district of Yozgat province. He completed his high school education in 2013 in Health Vocational High School, Emergency Medical Technician Department. He completed his undergraduate education at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ), Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management (AYAY) between 2013-2017. He completed his master's degree at ÇOMÜ, Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Disaster Education and Management in 2019 with his thesis titled “Co-sense fatigue, co-sense satisfaction and burnout among 112 emergency health workers - the case of Kayseri province”. She completed her doctorate education at Gümüşhane University, Department of Disaster Management in 2023 with the thesis titled “Volunteering in disasters: A mixed method research” at Gümüşhane University, Department of Disaster Management. Ömer DEMİRBİLEK worked as an Emergency Medical Technician at Bursa State Hospital, Ezine State Hospital, Çanakkale Provincial Health Directorate 112 stations, Pınarbaşı State Hospital and Kayseri Provincial Health Directorate 112 stations between 2013 and 2020. In 2020, he started Sinop University, Türkeli Vocational School, Emergency and Disaster Management program as a lecturer. In this department, he served as the head of the department between 2020-2024. In 2024, Malatya Turgut Özal University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management He started to work as a Assistant Professor. He is still continuing his same duty. He has scientific publications published in international journals, books and conferences. He is married and has two children.

Aim

IBAD Journal of Social Sciences, a fully open-access online journal that publishes peer-reviewed research spanning all fields of the humanities and social sciences, including interdisciplinary studies. It aims to contribute to the exchange of knowledge in the fields of humanities and social sciences by publishing scholarly works that explore the social and cultural characteristics, historical contexts, and contemporary realities of Turks and Türkiye. The journal is committed to publishing articles related to Turks and Türkiye within the scope of humanities and social sciences.

Its target audience includes academics, researchers, professionals, students, and relevant professional and academic institutions with an interest in these topics. It is published semiannually in August and December.

Scope

IBAD Journal of Social Sciences publishes articles that take a scholarly perspective on the social and cultural characteristics of Turks and Türkiye, shedding light on their historical and contemporary realities, identifying challenges, and proposing solutions. In this context, it welcomes a wide range of theoretical, methodological, quantitative, and qualitative research that contributes to the literature. It particularly encourages studies that explore emerging ideas, address fundamental issues, or tackle major societal challenges, regardless of discipline. Interdisciplinary perspectives are also highly valued, especially when they contribute to the advancement of the humanities or social sciences.

Additionally, the editorial board is pleased to accept scholarly works in the humanities or social sciences authored by Turkish researchers or foreign scholars residing in Türkiye even if their topics are not directly related to Turks or Türkiye. This editorial stance is based on the rationale that a subject of interest to a Turkish researcher or a foreign scholar living in Turkey is likely to resonate with the interests of Turkish audiences as well.

IBAD Journal of Social Sciences provides flexibility in terms of writing rules for our authors at the time of initial submission, as long as the manuscript is formatted properly and remains internally consistent. There is no requirement for a rigid structure before the peer review process, except for the essential components that should be included in the article. The journal does not impose restrictions on writing style, article length, or tables and figures. However, to facilitate the submission process, it recommends authors use the journal's template.

After your article is accepted for publication, a new template file will be sent to you, and you will be requested to edit your article according to the journal spelling rules. In this context, care should be taken to publish the accepted articles in accordance with the following spelling rules:
Main Text: The manuscript must be written in A4 size using MS Word, with the Palatino Linotype font, 11-point size, and single line spacing. The paragraph spacing should be set to 6nk before and after. Tables and figures should be formatted according to page size. For ease of the peer review process, the pages should be numbered.
Guidelines for Article Structure
The Introduction and Conclusion sections are mandatory in the main text.
To ensure academic integrity and consistency in the works published in our journal, we expect manuscripts to be structured according to the following steps. This framework should be applied not only to the full article but also separately to the Öz (Abstract in Turkish) and Abstract (in English) sections.
Key Components of a Manuscript:
1. Contextualizing the Research Topic: Providing a broad overview of the subject or problem under discussion.
2. Clearly Defining the Problem and Research Objective: Clearly stating the specific issue being addressed and explaining its significance.
3. Literature Review: Summarizing previous studies related to the topic.
- Has this problem been directly addressed before?
- What are the most influential and recent studies in the field, and what findings have they presented?
- If the problem has not been directly studied, what are the closest related works?
- These questions should be answered, and appropriate references to the literature must be included.
4. Scientific Contribution of the Study:
- How does your research contribute to the existing literature?
- What gap in the literature does it fill?
- What does it introduce that has not been done before?
- This section should convince the reader of the originality and significance of your study.
5. Research Methodology and Implementation:
- A detailed explanation of how the study contributes to the literature.
- This section forms the core of the paper, requiring a systematic presentation of the theories, methods, and materials used.
- The main body of the manuscript should:
- First, establish the theoretical framework.
- Clearly define the methods and materials to be used.
- If necessary and relevant, provide background information on the historical context of the topic.
- Apply the selected theory and methods to concrete examples, demonstrating their implementation.
This structure will enhance the academic quality of the manuscript and help readers better understand the significance and contribution of the research.

Author(s) and Address: Author(s) names should be written in bold, with only the first letter of the first name capitalized, in 10-point size. The institution, country, and email address of the author should be listed in 9-point size. All authors must also include their ORCID ID.

Title:The title should be concise and accurately reflect the content of the paper. It must be written in 12-point bold font with capitalized first letters of each word. Efforts should be made to keep the title as short as possible. Main headings should also be in uppercase, 12-point, bold font.

Abstract: A concise abstract of the article must be included at the beginning, in both Turkish and English, with a length of at least 150 and at most 300 words. A +/-100 word variation is allowed under special circumstances. In all cases, the abstract should not exceed one page, as outlined in the template. Below the abstract, 3-8 keywords should be provided. The abstract must be written in 9-point font, without subheadings, citations, or references. It should encapsulate the introduction, development, and conclusion of the article.
Keywords: Key words (3-8) should be in English and Turkish provided below the Abstract to assist with indexing of the article.

Figures: At initial submission, figures should be at good enough quality and high contrast to be assessed by referees, preferably incorporated with the manuscript text in a single Word doc or PDF, although figures can be supplied separately as JPEGs if authors are unable to include them with the text. Figures, tables and illustrations should not exceed 10 pages.

References: For Turkish articles, "KAYNAKÇA" should be used, while "REFERENCES" should be used for English articles. References should not be numbered, and if they exceed one line, the second line should be indented. The references should be written with single line spacing and paragraph spacing set to 6nk before and after.

Ethical Principles

The publication processes implemented by IBAD Journal of Social Sciences serve as a foundation for the impartial, reliable, and reputable production and dissemination of knowledge. These processes directly reflect the quality of the work produced by authors and their affiliated institutions. Peer-reviewed publications are among the most crucial elements supporting the development and application of the scientific method. In this regard, it is essential that all stakeholders in the process—including authors, readers, researchers, publishers, reviewers, and editors—adhere to ethical principles. IBAD Journal of Social Sciences expects all stakeholders to fulfill their ethical responsibilities within the framework of publication ethics. The ethical duties and responsibilities outlined below are based on the guidelines and policies published as open-access resources by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

IBAD Journal of Social Sciences meticulously ensures compliance with ethical principles, particularly plagiarism, in all submitted manuscripts. During the preliminary review stage, articles undergo plagiarism screening. If plagiarism is detected, the authors are immediately notified. If necessary, a manuscript may be subjected to similarity checks at any stage of the evaluation or publication process. High similarity rates may result in rejection either before acceptance or even after it has been accepted. The acceptable similarity threshold is generally below 25%; however, in exceptional cases, the editorial board may allow up to 30%. In any case, the similarity rate from a single source should not exceed 5%. Before publication, every article is screened through similarity detection tools such as iThenticate, Turnitin, and Intihal.net. The journal maintains a strict stance against plagiarism.

IBAD Journal of Social Sciences places great emphasis on intellectual property and is committed to protecting and promoting authors’ original work. Articles that fail to adhere to ethical principles, particularly those involving plagiarism, are considered to be in violation of the journal’s standards of quality, research integrity, and innovation. Therefore, all authors submitting manuscripts to the journal are expected to uphold ethical standards and avoid all forms of plagiarism. If a manuscript raises suspicions of plagiarism, it will undergo a thorough review. Following this review, the corresponding author(s) will be contacted and required to take appropriate action. If no response is received within 30 days, the journal will escalate the matter by notifying the author’s affiliated institution and requesting an official investigation. Furthermore, any instances of data manipulation, distortion, or fabrication will result in the manuscript’s rejection, and the author’s institution will be formally informed. The journal also reserves the right to request output files related to analysis results from authors, based on evaluations conducted by editors and/or reviewers.

IBAD Journal of Social Sciences takes the following measures against published articles identified with plagiarism:
1. Immediately contacts the university to which the author(s) is affiliated and requests definitive action.
2. Removes the PDF copy of the article from the website and disables full-text access links. The phrase "Plagiarized Article" is added to the title of the article.
3. Deactivates the author's account and rejects all future article submissions for a period of 3 years.

For studies based on surveys and interviews, the following guidelines must be adhered to:
1) For research in all scientific fields that requires ethical approval, the ethics committee approval must be obtained, indicated in the article, and documented.
2) In research requiring ethics committee approval, information regarding the approval (committee name, date, and approval number) should be included in the methodology section, as well as on one of the first or last pages of the article, and information about the signed informed consent form should be provided in the article.

The journal may publish a special issue upon request by the Editorial Board once a year. The review process and rules for articles submitted for consideration in the special issue are the same as those for regular issues.

The Editorial Board may consider publishing a correction if minor errors that do not affect the findings, interpretations, or conclusions are identified in a published article. However, if there are serious errors or violations that invalidate the findings or conclusions, the article may be retracted. If there are suspicions that the authors have misused the research or publication, or if there is evidence showing the findings are unreliable, or if the institutions of the authors have failed to investigate the matter or if the investigation appears biased or inconclusive, the editors may consider publishing an expression of concern. In cases of correction, retraction, or expression of concern, actions will be taken in accordance with Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Since its first issue, IBAD Journal of Social Sciences has adhered to universal publishing standards. The Editorial Board of IBAD Journal of Social Sciences is composed of experts in their fields. The members of the Editorial Board are selected based on their expertise in various disciplines within the social sciences. The Editor-in-Chief may send articles to guest editors, who are faculty members not part of the Editorial Board, for review if the subject of the article requires it.

• The Editors of the journal take preventive measures against abuse of power. In case of complaints about abuse of authority, they conduct an objective investigation and share findings.

• The Editors of the journal ensure the correction of any errors, inconsistencies, or misguidance found in published articles.

• The Editors of the journal protect the intellectual property rights of published articles and defend the rights of authors and the journal in cases of infringement. They also take measures to ensure the content of published articles does not violate the intellectual property rights of other publications by conducting originality and similarity checks.

• The Editors of the journal consider consistent criticism of published articles and grant authors the right to respond to critiques.

• The Editors of the journal take into account studies with negative results.

• The Editors of the journal review complaints submitted to the journal and provide necessary clarifications.

Ethical Responsibilities for Reviewers

In the article evaluation process of the journal, a double-blind peer review principle is applied, meaning that the reviewer(s) do not know the identity of the author(s), and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewer(s). Reviewers are not allowed to communicate directly with the authors. Any requests for corrections or notes on the manuscript are transmitted to the authors through the editor(s) via the journal's management system.

Reviewers for the journal should bear the following ethical responsibilities when evaluating submitted manuscripts:

• Reviewers should only accept to evaluate articles that fall within their area of expertise.

• Reviewers should conduct their evaluations with impartiality and confidentiality. In accordance with this principle, they must destroy the manuscripts after the review process and should only use them once published. Nationality, gender, religious beliefs, political views, and commercial interests should not influence the impartiality of the evaluation.

• Reviewers should inform the editors and decline to review a manuscript if they realize there is a conflict of interest.

• Reviewers must conduct the review in a constructive manner, following academic conventions, and avoid making personal comments that are insulting or hostile.

• Reviewers should complete the evaluation of a manuscript within the given time frame once they accept to review it.

Ethical Responsibilities for Authors

Accepted manuscripts cannot be withdrawn or published in another journal. The reference list must be complete and properly formatted. The manuscript must have a complete list of references, and plagiarism or falsification of data should be avoided. Authors should not attempt to publish the same research in multiple journals and must adhere to scientific research and publication ethics. They must avoid any unethical behavior as outlined in the Council of Higher Education's (YÖK) Guidelines on Scientific Research and Publication Ethics. The ethical responsibilities of authors submitting manuscripts to the journal include:

• Authors should not submit the same article simultaneously to more than one journal or submit articles that have been previously published elsewhere.

• Authors should contribute original research or review articles, as well as scientific translations or book reviews.

• Authors should correctly cite the sources they have used during the writing process in accordance with ethical guidelines.

• Authors should not list individuals who did not contribute to the manuscript as authors, and they should not request changes to the order of authors, add or remove authors after submission.

• Authors should disclose any conflicts of interest regarding the manuscript to the editors.

• Authors should provide any requested information or raw data concerning the manuscript during the review process to the editors.

• Authors must provide documentation that confirms they have obtained permission for the use of data, research analyses, or approval from participants in their research.

• Authors must contact the editor if they identify any errors in the manuscript during the evaluation, early view, or online publication stages, in order to correct or withdraw the article.

• Authors must provide proof of ethical approval for research involving experiments, surveys, scales, interviews, observations, or focus groups that require ethical approval. This approval, along with the name of the ethics committee, decision date, and number, should be included on the first and last pages of the manuscript and in the methods section. Additionally, information about obtaining informed consent should be included.

• Authors must provide evidence in the manuscript that they have adhered to ethical principles during the data collection process, such as obtaining permission to use scales, surveys, photographs, etc. Research and publication ethics, as well as copyright regulations for intellectual and artistic works, should be followed, and if the research was conducted with human or animal subjects, the relevant guidelines and standards should be cited.

• Ethical approval is not required for review articles, but if no ethical committee approval is needed, this should be noted in the manuscript.

Publication Policy

The publication policy of IBAD Journal of Social Sciences is determined by the Editorial Board. The primary criteria for evaluating submitted manuscripts are academic impartiality and scientific quality. The journal follows a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript that successfully completes the review process is assigned a DOI number and may be published in early view on the journal’s website with volume and page numbers. All processes are conducted with full transparency.

Authors submitting to IBAD Journal of Social Sciences are expected to consider the feedback and suggestions provided by reviewers and the Editorial Board. If they disagree with certain points, they have the right to submit a reasoned objection. Peer review reports are stored digitally in the DergiPark system. By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors are deemed to have accepted the journal’s peer review policies and procedures. (See: Review Process)

The Editorial Board reserves the right to make minor revisions that do not alter the essence of an accepted manuscript. If deemed necessary, the Board may also appoint a guest field editor. An author may submit only one manuscript at a time, including co-authored works. Additionally, an author may have no more than one paper published in a single issue. Once a manuscript is published, the author may submit a new manuscript for the following issue. Care is taken to ensure that the number of articles authored by individuals from the same institution/university does not exceed 25% of the total articles in a single issue.

Editorial Board members are also permitted to submit manuscripts to the journal. However, in such cases, they do not participate in any stage of the editorial process for their own submissions. While the manuscript is undergoing peer review, its authors who also serve as editors have their editorial roles suspended to prevent access to the review process. This ensures the integrity of the double-blind peer review system. The journal ensures that in the last two issues, no more than 25% of published research articles have at least one author who is an editor, Editorial Board member, or reviewer.

The IBAD Journal of Social Sciences is published twice a year, in August and December.

Price Policy

IBAD Journal of Social Sciences utilizes paid services for digital publishing, graphic design, typesetting, participation in international indices, and other processes. Therefore, in accordance with Article 44 of the Frequently Asked Questions on the Associate Professorship Criteria by the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK), authors submitting articles are required to pay a participation fee after submission. This fee must be paid in order to initiate the review process for the submitted articles. The fee is collected regardless of whether the article is accepted or rejected. Payment of the fee does not guarantee the acceptance of the article for publication. The acceptance or rejection of the article is determined by the editorial board based on the reviewer reports. Authors whose submissions are rejected by the reviewers will not be refunded the fee paid. By submitting an article to the journal, authors are deemed to have accepted these terms.

Anar Gafarov 1 Temmuz 1979'da Azerbaycan’da, Bakü’de doğdu. 1997 yılında Bakü’de 177 saylı liseden mezun oldu. 1997-2002 yıllarında Bakü Devlet Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nde "Geleneksel Türk dini inançları ve günümüz Azerbaycan'ındaki tezahürleri" konulu tez çalışmasıyla İlahiyat ve Arap dili öğretmenliği olmakla çift dalda lisans ve yüksek lisans yaptı ve üniversiteyi üstün başarılı diplomayla bitirdi. 2002-2004 yıllarında T.C.Marmara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü İslam Felsefesi Anabilim Dalında yüksek lisans yaptı ve Prof.Dr. Mustafa Çağrıcı’nın danışmanlığında “Ragıb el-İsfahânî'nin İnsan ve Ahlak Anlayışı” konulu tez çalışmasıyla İslam felsefesi Anabilim Dalından yüksek lisans eğitimini başarıyla tamamladı. A. Gafarov, 2005-2009 yıllarında Ankara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Felsefe ve Din Bilimleri Anabilim Dalında doktora eğitimi aldı ve Prof.Dr. Mehmet Bayraktar’ın danışmanlığında hazırladığı “Nasiruddin et-Tûsî'nin Ahlak Felsefesi” konulu doktora tezini başarıyla savunarak felsefe doktoru ünvanını aldı.
Anar Gafarov lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora yaptığı dönemlerde sosial sorumluluk, bilgi yarışları ve medeniyet projelerinde aktiv iştirak etmiş ve ödüller almıştır. Şöyle ki, A.Gafarov Bakü Devlet Üniversitesi Rektörlüğü tarafından düzenlenen bilgi yarışlarından başarılı olarak “Onur Fermanı (2001)”, Azerbaycan İstanbul Baş Konsolosluğu tarafından düzenlenen "Haydar Aliyev ve Çağdaş Azerbaycan Devleti" konulu bilimsel makale yarışmasında “Başarılı Makale Yazarı (2007)” ve Türkiye Diyanet İşleri Başkanı tarafından Türkiye Diyaner İşleri Vakfı Bakü Türk Lisesi’nde “Yılın Başarılı Öğretmeni (2012)” ödülünü aldı.
2009’da Azerbaycan Cuhuriyeti Dini Kurumlarla İş Üzre Devlet Komiteside kısa süreliğine bölge müşaviri ve dış ilişkiler ve basın güvenliği uzmanı olarak çalışan A.Gafarov, 2010-2014 yıllarında Azerbaycan Slavyan Üniversitesi, Hazar Üniversitesi ve Azerbaycan İktisat Üniversitesinde felsefe ve eğitim tarihi derslerini verdi. Ayrıca 2010-2012-yıllarında Amerika Bileşik Devletlerinin Medivial Lombard Üniversitetsinin İlahiyyat fakültesinde ve diğer üniversitelerin uygun bölümlerinde “Gerçek İslam ve Müslümanlık”, “İslam Düşüncesinde Kamil İnsan Anlayışı” konulu seminar ve konferanslar verdi. Bundan başka, A.Gafarov 2013’te T.C.Sosyal Bilimler Araştırma Dergisinin “Umummilli Lider Haydan Aliyev’in hatırasına” özel sayısının (sayı: 22) hazırlanmasında koodinatör ve hakem olarak katkılarda bulundu. 2012 yılında “Bilimsel Araştırmalar Bağlamında Hukuki, Politik, Sosyal-Ekonomik ve Psikolojik Yönleriyle Ortadoğu Hakikatleri” adlı uluslararası sepmozyum Anar Gafarov’un heyetle beraber T.C.Ortadoğu Araştırmalar Merkezi’nin desteğiyle hazırladığı proje kapsamında gerçekleşmiştir. Yine A.Gafarov 29-30 Mart 2013 tarihlerinde bilimsel katkı sağladığı proje kapsamında "Arşiv Belgelerinde Azerbaycanlıların Soykırımı” ve Azerbaycan ve Türkiye Yazarlar Birliği'nin desteğiyle "Azerbaycan ve Türk Edebiyatında Ermeni Sorunu” konularında Bakü'de düzenlenen uluslararası konferanslarda bilimsel ve uygulamalı faaliyetlerde bulunuldu. Ayrıca A.Gafarov T.C. Aile ve Sosial Politikalar Bakanlığı’nın desteğiyle “Hayallerimiz, Hedeflerimiz ve Değerlerimiz” yönünde projeler gerçekleştirdi ve çocuk evlerinde çalışan eğitimciler için sosial sorumluluk porjeleri kapsamında eğitim-öğretim seminerleri düzenledi. T.C. İLKE (İlim, Kültür ve Eğitim) araştırma merkezinin desteğiyle 2015-2016 yıllarında İstanbul’da düzenlenen “İslam Ahlak Düşüncesi Projesi I: Ahlakın Kaynağı” ve “İslam Ahlak Düşüncesi Projesi II: Vicdan” konulu çalıştaylara “Nasirüddin Tusi’de Ahlaki Önermelerin Kaynağı” və “Nasirüddin Tûsî’de Vicdan Kavramı” konulu çalışmalarıyla bilimsel katkılarda bulunan A.Gafarov’un her iki çalışması ortak yazarlı kitap olarak Nobel yayınlarında basıldı.
A.Gafarov, 2009-2010-yıllarında Azerbaycan Milli Bilimler Akademisi Doğubilimleri (Şarkşünaslık) Enstitüsünde, 2010-2014-yıllarında Felsefe ve Sosyoloji Enstitüsünde araştırmacı, 2014-2017 yıllarında T.C.Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi İlahiyat fakültesinde sözleşmeli öğretim üyesi, 2017-2021-yılında Azerbaycan Milli Bilimler Akademisi Felsefe ve Sosyoloji Enstitüsünde doçent araştırmacı, 2018-2021 yılında Azerbaycan İlahiyat Enstitüsünde doçent öğretim üyesi olarak çalışdı. A. Gafarov 2021-yılından itibaren Azebaycan İlahiyat Enstitüsü Din Bilimleri Anabilim Dalı Başkanı olarak çalışmatadır. A. Gafarov yurt içi ve yurt dışı üniversitelerde çalıştığı dönemlerde İslam felsefesi, Ahlak felsefesi, Din felsefesi, Kelam, Çağdaş İslam düşüncesi, Dinler tarihi, Mezhepler tarihi, Din psikolojisi, Din sosyolojisi, İslam medeniyet tarihi, Eğitim tarihi, Din eğitimi ve İslam ahlakı alanlarında dersler verdi. Temel bilimsel araştırma alanı İslam felsefesi, İslam siyaset düşüncesi, ahlak felsefesi, siyaset-ahlak ilişkisi, Ortaçağ felsefe tarihi ve ahlak psikolojisidir. Tek ve ortak yazarlı 16 kitabın yazarı olan A. Gafarov Azerbaycan ve Türkiye’de toplam 9 kitabın ilmi redaksiyonluğunu ve 2 kitabın editörlüğünü, felsefe , ahlak felsefesi, tasavvuf ve İslam ahlakı gibi alanlarda Arapça, Farsça, İngilizce ve Türkçe’den 10 kitabın çevirisini yaptı. Yerli ve uluslararası bilimsel dergilerde 25 makalesi yayınlanan A.Gafarov, ayrıca pek çok yerli ve uluslararası konferans ve sempozyumlarda bilimsel araştırmalarıyla katkılarda bulundu, Azerbaycan ve Türkiye’de sosial sorumluluk ve modern bilimsel araştırma yöntemleri alanlarında 11 proje gerçekleçtirdi. Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Burdur Eğitim Fakültesini bitirmiştir. MEB bünyesinde 10 yıl öğretmen olarak çalışmıştır. Atatürk Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Türkçe Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalında yüksek lisans (2001) ve doktora (2005) yapmıştır. Dumlupınar Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesine yardımcı doçent olarak atandıktan (2006) sonra Türkçe eğitimi üzerine doçent olmuştur (2011). ABD / Ohio Kent State Üniversitesinde misafir öğretim üyesi olarak bulunmuştur (2013). Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesine geçtikten (2014) sonra profesör (2017) olmuştur. Alanıyla ilgili yazdığı 7 kitabı, 8 kitap editörlüğü ve çok sayıda kitap bölümü bulunmaktadır. Ulusal ve uluslararası dergilerde yayımlanmış onlarca makalesi vardır. Yıldız Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Dergisi ile Türkiye Eğitim Dergisi’ni kurmuştur. 2018 yılından beri iki yılda bir Türk Eğitim Kongresi’ni (M. Başaran ile birlikte) düzenlemektedir. İngilizce bilmekte, ulusal bir gazetede eğitim ve kültüre dair köşe yazıları yazmaktadır.

Bektaşî Tekkelerinin Kapatılması (1826) ve Bektaşîliğin Yasaklı Yılları adlı doktora tezini hazırlayarak 2010 yılında doktor unvanını aldı. Akademik kariyeri 2019 yılında doçent, 2024 yılında profesör unvanına yükseldi. 2012-2022 yılları arası Kastamonu Üniversitesi Tarih bölümünde öğretim üyeliği yaptı. Halen Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli Üniversitesi Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü Alevi Bektaşi Kültürü Anabilim Dalı öğretim üyesi ve Türk Kültürü Açısından Hacı Bektaş Veli Araştırma Merkezi müdür yardımcısıdır. Temel akademik araştırma alanı Alevilik-Bektaşilik tarihidir. Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Edebiyat Fakültesi, Amerikan Kültürü ve Edebiyatı 1996 mezunu olan Arda Arıkan doktora derecesini Penn State Üniversitesinden 2002 yılında Bilim, Teknoloji ve Toplum bölümünden, öğretim görevlilerinin anlatılarının Postmodern bir bakış açısıyla ele aldığı tezi ile almıştır. Halen Akdeniz Üniversitesi, Edebiyat Fakültesi, İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümünde çalışmalarına özellikle eğitim, edebiyat ve kültür üçgeninde devam etmektedir.

1994’te Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesinden mezun oldu. 1998 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Temel İslâm Bilimleri Bölümünde (Kelam) yüksek lisansını, 2007 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Temel İslam Bilimleri Bölümünde (Kelam) doktorasını tamamladı. 1994-2010 yıllarında Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı çeşitli kurumlarda çalıştı. 2010 yılında Atatürk Üniversitesi Kazım Karabekir Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi Eğitimi Bölümü’ne Yrd. Doç. Dr. olarak atandı. 2017 yılında Doçent, 2023 yılında Profesör oldu. Halen Hitit Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi Temel İslam Bilimleri (Kelam) Bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır.

1 Ocak 1965'te Bakü'de doğdum. 1997-2010 yıllarında Azerbaycan Öğretmenler Enstitüsü'nde sorumlu sekreter, bölüm başkanı, bilimsel işlerden sorumlu rektör yardımcısı olarak çalıştım. Adayımın "Nasireddin Tusi'nin Eserlerinde Eğitim ve Öğretim Sorunları" konulu tezini savunarak 2007 yılında Pedagoji Felsefe Doktoru unvanını, 2009 yılında ise Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu kararıyla doçentlik unvanını aldım. 2004 yılından itibaren Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti Milli Eğitim Bakanı'nın emriyle Milli Müfredat projesinde, 2011 yılından itibaren Değerlendirme ve İzleme Projesi'nde, 2002-2008 yıllarında ise Azerbaycan dili konusuyla ilgili komisyonlarda üye olarak yer aldı. Cumhuriyet Bilim Olimpiyatları ve Edebiyatı, 2015-2019 yıllarında Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı Yüksek Okullarının Akreditasyon ve Nostrifikasyon Komisyonunda uzman olarak çalıştım.

Cumhuriyetin çeşitli yüksek okullarında - Bakü Devlet Üniversitesi, Azerbaycan Devlet Petrol ve Sanayi Üniversitesi, Bakü Avrasya Üniversitesi, "Azerbaycan" Üniversitesi'nde pedagoji tarihi ve teorisi, edebiyat öğretim metodolojisi, Azerbaycan edebiyatı tarihi konularında dersler verdim. Türkiye, Makedonya, Fransa, New York, Rusya, Ukrayna, Gürcistan, Bangladeş, Moldova, İsveç ve daha birçok yabancı ülkede uluslararası konferans ve sempozyumlarda konuşmalar yaptım, bilim ve organizasyon komitelerinde üyeliklerde bulundum.

2019-2024 yılında Azerbaycan Devlet Pedagoji Üniversitesi Edebiyat Öğretim Teknolojisi Bölüm Başkanı olarak çalıştım. 8 öğretim kitabı, 2 metodolojik yardım, 19 konu programı, yaklaşık 200 bilimsel-metodik makale ve tezin yazarıyım, ders kitaplarının, öğretim yardımcılarının, metodolojik talimatların ve konu programlarının bilimsel editörü ve incelemecisiyim. Azerbaycan, Türkiye ve Özbekistan'daki uluslararası bilimsel dergilerin yayın kurulu üyesiyim.

2021 yılından bu yana Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti Cumhurbaşkanına bağlı Yüksek Tasdik Komisyonu Filoloji ve Pedagoji Uzman Konseyi üyesiyim.
2021 yılında Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti Cumhurbaşkanının Nişanı ile bana "İlerleme" madalyası verildi.
2023 yılında BZT "TURAN" Türkiye Akademisi tarafından Fahri Doktor unvanına layık görüldüm.
2024-2028 yılları için TURAN Akademi Birleşik Aydınlar Teşkilatı'nın Azerbaycan Üniversiteleri Türkiye temsilcisi olarak atandım.
Bilgisayar becerilerim üst düzeydedir. Rusçayı akıcı bir şekilde konuşup yazıyorum.

2004 yılında Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık Bölümü’nden mezun olmuştur. 2020 yılında Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı lisans eğitimini, 2021 yılında Tarih lisans eğitimini tamamlamıştır. Yüksek lisans eğitimini Marmara Üniversitesi Halk Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalı’nda 2010 yılında, doktora eğitimini ise Marmara Üniversitesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği Ana Bilim Dalı’nda 2013 yılında tamamlamıştır. Ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde pek çok kongre, sempozyum ve konferansa düzenleme kurulu üyesi olarak ve sözlü bildiri sunumları ile katılmıştır. Ulusal ve uluslararası bilimsel kitaplarda ve hakemli dergilerde okul öncesi eğitimi alanıyla ilgili yayınlanmış çok sayıda kitap bölümü ve makalesi bulunmaktadır. Çalışma alanları; ‘erken çocukluk döneminde gelişim, erken çocukluk eğitim programları, erken çocuklukta alternatif eğitim yaklaşım/modelleri, okula uyum, erken okuryazarlık becerileri, erken çocuklukta çevre eğitimi, çocuğu tanıma ve değerlendirme, çocuk ruh sağlığı, çocuklarda sosyal duygusal öğrenme becerileri’dir.

İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Ekonomi Bölümü'nden "Tahmin Yöntemleri Üzerine Denemeler" başlıklı teziyle doktora derecesini aldı: Ekonometri ve Makine Öğrenimi Üzerine Üç Karşılaştırmalı Deneme" başlıklı teziyle doktorasını tamamlamıştır. Temel olarak derin öğrenme, doğal dil işleme, uygulamalı/teorik ekonometri ve istatistiği kapsayan hesaplamalı sosyal bilimler (CSS) alanında uzmanlaşmıştır. Altınbaş Üniversitesi Ekonomi Bölümü'nde beş yıldır bu alanlarda ders vermekte ve CSS alanında yayınlar yapmaktadır. Bir uluslararası (AB) ve beş ulusal (TÜBİTAK) proje tamamlamıştır. Ekonomi, finans ve sosyal bilimlerdeki diğer alanlarda yeni derin öğrenme algoritmalarını kullanan uygulamalı makaleler yazmaktadır. Previously, he was Associate/Assistant Professor and Senior Lecturer at International Islamic University Malaysia and University Kuala Lumpur, Respectively. As a young Academician, he has published 4 books, 11 book chapters, almost 55 SCOPUS & ISI indexed journal publications and attended more than 40 International and local conferences. He was awarded by the IIUM for publishing highest number of articles in citation-indexed journals in social science category in year 2017. He is named for top 1% reviewer in years 2018 and 2019 by Publons (WoS). His research interest is the empirical studies of Islamic Banking and Finance.
