Bio
Merve Savasci took her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language Teaching from Yeditepe University in 2011. She had a double major in college and graduated in 2012 with a double major in Translation and Interpreting Studies. She also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in English Language Education from Yeditepe University (Istanbul, Turkey).
She currently works as an assistant professor in the Department of Foreign Language Education at Sakarya University (Sakarya, Turkey), where she offers both graduate and undergraduate courses (both theoretical and practical). Her research interests center around teaching L2 skills (i.e., EFL reading, writing, listening, and speaking) and language teacher education (pre- and in-service). She has published in national and international peer-reviewed journals as well as presented at and participated in a number of international conferences. She has also worked as a reviewer for many international scientific journals.
