The aim of Politik Ekonomik Kuram (PEK) is to contribute to academic knowledge by publishing critical and theoretical studies that explore the functioning of economic, social, and political structures from a political economy perspective. The journal seeks to promote theoretical and methodological interaction among researchers from various disciplines, foster interdisciplinary dialogue, and develop new understandings of contemporary challenges.
Politik Ekonomik Kuram publishes theoretical and/or empirical research in fields such as political economy, social theory, public policy, economics, fiscal studies, political science, international relations, sociology, development studies, and environmental policy. The journal particularly welcomes contributions that explore topics such as labor-capital relations, the changing economic role of the state, inequality, sustainability, digitalization, the climate crisis, and social justice.
All manuscripts submitted to PEK undergo preliminary review by the Editorial Board and, if deemed suitable, are forwarded to reviewers through the responsible field editor under a double-blind peer review system. Submissions must follow APA 7 citation style and be prepared using the journal’s Word article template.

Handling of Misconduct

Politik Ekonomik Kuram (PEK) charges a submission fee from authors at the time of manuscript submission — regardless of acceptance or rejection.
For international authors, the submission fee is: 200 USD / 200 EUR
Payments are accepted only in Turkish Lira (TRY). The amounts in foreign currencies are provided for informational purposes. Authors must pay the equivalent TRY amount based on the current exchange rate at the time of payment. All bank charges and transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender.
