Bio
Özgür Çalışkan, Ph.D., completed his BA degree at Bahçeşehir University, Department of Cinema and Television with a full scholarship, MA degree at Digital Culture Program, Jyvaskyla University in Finland, and Ph.D. at Department of Cinema and Television, Anadolu University, where he has been working since 2012. Çalışkan has participated in exchange programs at the University of Ulster and the University of Ljubljana and has been a guest lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Executive Board of the International Eskişehir Film Festival. He lectures on cinematic narrative, screenwriting, film genres, science fiction, identity and digital technologies; he has national and international book chapters, articles, and papers in these fields.
