Bio

Özlem Karadağ was born in İstanbul in 1983. She received her BA (2005), MA (2008), and Ph.D. (2013) degrees from İstanbul University's English Language and Literature Department and took a postdoctoral position at QMUL's Department of Drama (2015), where she also conducted her Ph.D. research in 2012 (funded by BAP), and her postdoctoral research was funded by TUBITAK. She started working as a Research Assistant at the Department of English Language and Literature in 2006, and she still works at the same department as an Assistant Professor since 2015. She has earned the title Associate Professor (Reader) in August 2022. Besides being educated in Fine Arts and Drama, she has been doing voluntary work as a translator and a dramaturg for various independent theatre companies since 2008.
