Mizanu'l-Haqq: Journal of Islamic Studies

Mîzânü’l-Hak: Journal of Islamic Studies is an international, scholarly, peer-reviewed, and open-access academic journal published by İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, with its publication processes administered by the Faculty of Theology at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University. Since its establishment in 2015, Mîzânü’l-Hak has published scholarly works in Turkish, English, and Arabic. The journal publishes academic studies across the broad fields of religious studies and Islamic studies, with particular emphasis on Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Studies, and Islamic History and Arts. It also welcomes social science research and interdisciplinary studies related to Islamic studies and the study of religion, particularly in the areas of religion, society, culture, history, thought, education, and the humanities.

The journal primarily publishes original research articles, while translations, book reviews, and other scholarly works may also be considered for publication. Research articles are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review system. Mîzânü’l-Hak is indexed in a range of national and international indexes and databases, primarily TR Dizin, as well as ATLA Religion Database, ProQuest, and MLA International Bibliography.

The journal is published twice a year, in June and December. Submissions open on 10 February for the June issue and on 10 August for the December issue. Submissions are closed once 60 manuscript submissions have been received within a submission period. Accepted manuscripts are published by taking into consideration both the date of acceptance and the journal’s issue planning. Once the planned number of articles for an issue has been reached, other accepted manuscripts may be scheduled for subsequent issues.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be prepared in accordance with the ISNAD Citation Style, 2nd Edition (Footnote System), the journal’s Article Template, and its Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to the author(s) at the preliminary review stage or may not be considered for further evaluation.
