2004-2014 yılları arasında özel sektörde Veteriner Hekim olarak Pet, Kanatlı ve Büyükbaş hekimliği alanlarında görev yapmıştır. Aynı zamanda 200 koloni arı ile ticari arıcılık faaliyetleri yürütmüştür. Bolu Arı yetiştirici Birliğinin 326 nolu üyesidir. Hobi olarak başladığı kanarya üreticiliğini profesyonel olarak sürdürmüş olup Bolu Ornitoloji derneğinin üyesidir. Doktorasını Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi/Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü/Dölerme ve Suni Tohumlama (Dr)/ 2021 tamamlayan Özkök, Bal arıları ve ötücü kuşlarda sperma kalitesi, kriyoprezervasyon ve suni tohumlama çalışmalarının yanında Nesli tükenme tehlikesi altında olan yabani ispinoz türlerinin korunabilmesine yönelik alanında çalışmalar ve projeler yapmaktadır.

Between 2004 and 2014, he worked as a veterinarian in the private sector in the fields of Pet, Poultry, and Cattle Medicine. He also carried out commercial beekeeping activities with 200 colonies of bees. He is member number 326 of the Bolu Beekeepers Association. He started canary breeding as a hobby and continued professionally, and is member of the Bolu Ornithology Association. Özkök, who completed his doctorate at Ondokuz Mayıs University/Graduate Education Institute/Reproduction and Artificial Insemination (Dr)/ 2021, carries out studies and projects in the field of sperm quality, cryopreservation, and artificial insemination in honey bees and songbirds, as well as studies on the protection of wild finch species that are at risk of extinction.

The International Journal of Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that publishes original research in the fields of agriculture, environmental sciences, and food sciences. Authors must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a transparent, ethical, and efficient submission and publication process.
Scope of submissions
The journal accepts original Research Articles that contribute significantly to scientific advancement in the journal’s scope.
Please note:
Review Articles are accepted only in Special Issues, subject to invitation or editorial approval. The journal publishes a Special Issue titled Emerging Trends and Technologies in Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences every December, which prioritizes the inclusion of high-quality Review Articles. In regular issues, only Research Articles are published.
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
Language and formatting requirements
- Language: All manuscripts must be written in fluent, grammatically correct English.
- File format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) using the official template.
- Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, single-spaced.
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
- Units: Use SI units. Report temperatures in °C.
- Title: Max 15 words, sentence case, bold, 14 pt, centered.
- Authors: Full names with superscript numerals for affiliations. Corresponding author marked with an asterisk (*).
- Affiliations: Format as Department, Faculty, University, City, Country.

Types of articles
- Research Articles: Must include Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Compliance with Ethical Standards, and References.
- Review Articles: Published only in Special Issues. Must provide comprehensive, critical syntheses of current knowledge in a specialized topic.
Manuscript Structure
Authors must prepare their manuscripts according to the official template. The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

- Abstract (max 300 words, no citations or formulas)

Title of the manuscript: Maximum 15 words, written in Title Case (each main word begins with a capital letter).

Abstract
A single paragraph of 250–300 words.
Must include the aim, materials and methods, key results, and conclusions.
No references or unexplained abbreviations.
Keywords
Provide 3–6 keywords.
Written in lower case, separated by commas, in alphabetical order.
Introduction
State the background and rationale of the study.
Define the research problem, hypothesis, or objectives.
Keep concise but supported with relevant references.
Materials and Methods
Plant/Material/Study Area: Provide details of experimental site, plant material, or other relevant study material.
Experimental Design and Treatments: Clearly describe treatments, design, and procedures.
Measurements and Analyses: Give methods for physiological, biochemical, or other analyses, with citations if standard methods are used.
Statistical Analysis: Clearly describe the statistical procedures applied.
Results and Discussion
Results must be presented clearly, supported by tables and figures.
Discussion should interpret the results in relation to previous studies.
Results and Discussion may be combined or given separately, but must be consistent with the data presented.
Conclusion
Summarize the most important findings of the study.
Indicate the scientific significance and possible applications.
References
References must follow APA (7th edition) style.
Only cited works should appear in the reference list.
List references alphabetically by the surname of the first author.
Tables and figures
- Number tables and figures consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
- Table titles appear above; figure legends appear below.
- Figures must be high-resolution (300 DPI), in JPG, PNG, or TIFF format.
- Avoid duplicating data between text, tables, and figures.
Compliance with Ethical Standards
All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences must include a Compliance with Ethical Standards section at the end of the article. - The typical evaluation period is 4 to 8 weeks, including editorial screening and external review. The journal is committed to a timely, rigorous, and transparent peer review process in line with international publishing standards.
- Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer feedback and scientific merit.

- Authors retain full copyright of their published work.

Editorial processing charges (EPC)
An Editorial Processing Charge (EPC) is required upon submission and must be paid before the peer review process can begin.
This fee covers the technical and administrative costs associated with manuscript handling, including editorial screening, formatting checks, and system support.
- All applicable taxes (e.g., 20% VAT) are not included and will be added to the invoice.
- The fee is non-refundable, regardless of editorial outcome.
- The EPC must be paid by the corresponding author or their institution.

This policy outlines the ethical responsibilities and standards for authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, ensuring transparency, objectivity, and accountability throughout the publication process.
General Ethical Standards
-The journal publishes only original, high-quality research that has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
- Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, and unethical experimentation are strictly prohibited.
- All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate, intihal.net), and manuscripts with a similarity index above 24% are returned for revision or rejected.
- In accordance with the DergiPark system, a similarity report generated via intihal.net is automatically created and considered during the evaluation process.
- All authors must ensure that submitted studies comply with ethical standards related to human and animal research, informed consent, and institutional approvals.
Editorial and Peer Review Process
- All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
- The editorial board is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection.
- The journal ensures editorial independence and manages conflicts of interest transparently.
- Manuscripts submitted by members of the editorial board are handled independently to ensure impartiality.
Responsibilities of Authors
- Authors must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism or research misconduct.
-Authors must disclose all conflicts of interest and funding sources.
- All co-authors must have significantly contributed to the research and approved the final manuscript.
- Authors must adhere to responsible reporting standards, including transparent methodology, data availability, and ethical approvals.
- Authors are required to participate in the peer review process by responding to reviewer comments and revising their manuscripts accordingly.
- In cases of significant error discovery post-publication, authors must cooperate in issuing retractions or corrections.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
- Reviews should avoid personal criticism and maintain confidentiality.
- Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review if necessary.
- Reviewers must identify unethical practices such as plagiarism, redundant publication, or data manipulation.
Responsibilities of Editors
- Editors must ensure fair and unbiased editorial decisions based solely on the manuscript’s scientific merit and relevance.
- Editors are responsible for maintaining confidentiality and managing conflicts of interest.
- Editors should address all ethical complaints and allegations following COPE flowcharts.
- Editors are expected to promote academic integrity, prevent publication malpractice, and ensure the journal’s alignment with ethical standards.
Publisher’s Role
- The publisher, together with the editorial board, is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the scientific record.
- The publisher is committed to investigating and addressing cases of ethical misconduct, including plagiarism, fraudulent research, and manipulation of the publication process.
Research Involving Humans and Animals
- Studies involving human participants must include a statement confirming informed consent and ethical committee approval.
- Research involving animals must follow institutional and international guidelines and include ethical approval documentation.
- The privacy rights of subjects must always be respected.
Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure
- All authors, reviewers, and editors must declare any financial or non-financial conflict of interest.
- Funding sources must be clearly acknowledged in the manuscript, including grant numbers or funding body details.

Retractions, Corrections, and Misconduct Handling
In cases of confirmed research misconduct, redundant publication, or ethical violations, the journal will take appropriate corrective actions including:
